So, before the holidays I painted this image of my brother-in-law who has been playing Santa Claus and Father Christmas for years. He is most kind and generous person I know, who never asks for anything in return. I wanted to do something special for him and I thought he would like this as a memento.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything and have been reluctant to show this mask because of the tragedy in Nova Scotia two weeks ago. I did this mask about a month ago for a RCMP officer in British Columbia. I have nothing but respect for our law enforcement, military, front line and essential workers, here in Canada and everywhere in this world. Please stay safe, healthy and we will get through this. But on a side note, does anyone remember this cartoon character?

So, if you watch Hockey Night In Canada on CBC, during the second period intermission with Kelly Hrudey, you will see this mask advertising RAM Trucks. I was given the opportunity by Steve Turnbull, Creative Director at Publicis Toronto Advertising Agency. I had the amazing Murray Golledge of Built Right fill in the vent holes of this mask with fibre glass so that more of the artwork would be more visible. Another fun project.
