Today marks a historic milestone for healthcare in Southeast Saskatchewan.
This morning, we officially celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new MRI at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
What began as a dream became a community-wide mission, and today that mission has become reality. Because of the generosity of donors, businesses, service clubs, municipalities, RMs, foundations, healthcare staff, volunteers, and supporters from across Canada and beyond, patients will now have access to MRI services closer to home.
A very special thank you to Elaine Walkom, whose extraordinary leadership gift helped launch this campaign, and to every person who believed in this vision. Together, more than 1,200 donors proved what is possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
This MRI is more than a piece of equipment. It means earlier diagnoses, improved access to care, fewer hours spent travelling, and better outcomes for patients and families throughout Southeast Saskatchewan.
Thank you for believing. Thank you for giving. Thank you for making history with us.
Together We Did. 💙
