Throwback to when Gavin's Silverado SS was freshly laid out on 26" Racelines. We had just completed the red diamond-stitched sheetmetal bed and shaved the tailgate handle.

While the overall footprint on this build commands attention, the real labor happened during metal prep and panel finishing:

1. Shaved Tailgate Handle: Cut out the factory handle pocket, welded in a flush steel patch panel, and worked the metal flat to prevent cracking or seam sinkage over time.

2. Custom Sheetmetal Bed: Hand-fabricated an entirely new inner sheetmetal bed structure, bead rolled with a custom diamond-stitched pattern.

3. Body Prep: Block-sanded the bed to make sure the gloss black finish reflects straight without factory waviness.

From a wrecked salvage shell to a fully custom tri-stage build.

When Savanna's MK6 VW SportWagen arrived at Traphouse Automotive, the rear end was completely crushed from an accident, requiring structural reconstruction, a new quarter panel, and rear hatch.
Instead of just returning it to stock white, we took the build several steps further.

Custom Body & Paint Details:
-Full structural rear-end rebuild and frame alignment
-Shaved hood notch for a seamless badgeless front end
-Rear wiper delete and shaved VW emblem for a completely smooth tailgate
-Roof sprayed black with Ice Pearl on top
-Full body color change from factory White to Grey
-Custom Purple Pearl sprayed over the grey for a tri-stage finish that shifts in direct light
-Lightly smoked factory tail lights Swipe left to see where this wagon started.

Josh's Porsche 911 Turbo was brought to Traphouse Automotive for dedicated paint and body refinishing. Before any color or clear coat touches a panel, we hand-block each surface to strip out minor factory imperfections and ensure every body line aligns flush with the GT # Cup Car body kit.

Exposed bodywork on high-performance cars requires environment control to avoid dust nibs and uneven clear coat thickness. Our refinishing process leaves a flat, mirror-deep gloss that stands up to track use and highway driving through Edmonton.
