Say hello to Colby aka "Big Colby" or "real Colby"! He raced in a 1997 Volkswagon Gulf last weekend.

Colby’s Motorsport story is a long one. What started as a childhood passion for racing games evolved into a dedicated lifestyle full of race cars. Colby is a long time part of the WCRC Media Team and has since begun his career as a co-driver. Outside of rally, Colby dedicates much of his time to competing in Autocross and rallycross events in his B4 Subaru Legacy, his FK8 Type R, and whatever else he can get his hands on
In 2022, Colby started up Snooze Control Racing as a way to spread the dangers of driving tired

This is Maddie!

Maddies introduction to motorsports started almost two years ago when she was brought to a drift event at RMDC. Ever since then, she has been hooked.
What started as spectating and becoming a professional race car passenger princess turned into buying her 2007 Civic SI and competing in as many events as possible. Throughout the past 6 months with her car, she has participated in a TSD rally, multiple autocross events, and is finally trying out rallycross!

Meet Sam! He was driving a Mazda 323 GTX.

Since he could drive, Sam had loved cars! He began working on cars with his mentor and shop teacher, Darren Sagan when he was 16.

He is now an automotive machinist and runs , located in Cochrane Alberta! He is a frequent competitor at local rallycross events and volunteers within the local rally scene.

Thought we'd introduce you to the competitors from last weekend's event. Our first one is Emily. She raced in a 2007 Honda Civic si.

Emily’s involvement in motorsport began in 2023 when she joined WIMCanada’s marketing team! From there she has become part of the Western Canadian Rally Championships media team, shot other events such as Olympus Rally and track days at Rocky Mountain Motorsport and has recently started driving in local rallycross events.

Keep an eye out for the rest of our participants over the next few days!
