Behind the scenes of the 28 Packard...

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED TODAY!...Today was a very special day for Ernie and 3 of his 4 brothers...Ernie's '28 Packard that he just finished restoring had once belonged to his oldest brother Roger some 40++ years ago....I always refer to it as the "box car" because it was literally in boxes when Ernie bought it...as our family and friends know, the 5 brothers buried their stepmom this past June....a few days after that their oldest brother Roger was diagnosed with inoperable cancer which was why today was SO special for all them in making some very special memories....they had some good laughs too which we all needed and they had a great ride (all four of them) in the Packard...Grant and Alan climbed into the rumble seat and Roger sat up front with Ernie....it was special and "yes" I did have a tear in my eye a few times!....we knew Roger was in pain but he was a real trooper and we know he enjoyed the experience as much as his brothers did too! with Steve Silvester Kevin Silvester
