With the winter weather approaching, ensuring your vehicle is prepared should be of top priority ❄️

Getting a tune up for your vehicle is a great way to maintain its performance.

A winter tune-up focuses on components that are most affected by cold temperatures. The goal is to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety on slippery, icy roads.

A winter tune-up consists of:
Battery Check: Cold weather makes your engine harder to start and reduces a battery's cranking power. A mechanic will test your battery's voltage and check for corrosion on the terminals to ensure it can handle the cold.

Tire Inspection: As temperatures drop, so does tire pressure. A tune-up includes checking tire pressure and tread depth. This is also the ideal time to swap your all-season tires for dedicated winter tires, which provide much better traction on snow and ice.

Fluid Top-Off & Change
Engine Oil: Old, dirty oil gets thicker in the cold, making it harder for the engine to turn over. An oil change ensures proper lubrication.

Coolant/Antifreeze: The coolant level and concentration are checked to prevent the engine from freezing.

Windshield Washer Fluid: The reservoir is filled with a winter-grade fluid that won't freeze on your windshield.

Brake Inspection: Reliable brakes are crucial for winter driving. A technician will inspect brake pads, rotors, and fluid to ensure you have full stopping power.

Visibility Check: Wiper blades are inspected for wear and replaced if necessary. Exterior lights, including headlights, taillights, and turn signals, are checked to ensure you can see and be seen.

Heating & Defrosting System: The heater and defroster are tested to make sure they can keep the cabin warm and the windshield clear of fog and ice.
