Job Description
Responsibilities of the Shop Apprentice include, but are not limited to:
• Will start position as a general shop helper.
• Learning basics of shop maintenance, cutting tool identification and proper handling.
• The use of basics and advanced inspection equipment.
• Work in a team environment, communicate well with others.
• You will be exposed to all facets of metal cutting tool manufacturing and reconditioning.
Qualifications of the Shop Apprentice include, but are not limited to:
• Basic mechanical ability
• Be able to listen and absorb qualified instruction
• Be dependable
• Good eye/hand coordination
• Works well with numbers, basic understanding of negative to positive numbers with multiple decimal points.
Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually, 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand at workstation for up to 8 hours (with breaks).
Working Conditions: Warehouse/Shop Environment
Shift Time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
