🚗 How Old Are Your Tires? Here's How to Check! 🚗

When you're shopping for tires, especially used ones, it’s important to know their age. Old tires might seem like a great deal, but they could be unsafe. Here’s how to tell:

Look for the DOT number on the sidewall of the tire. The last 4 digits tell you the week and year the tire was made. For example, if it reads 1219, that means the tire was made in the 12th week of 2019.

While tires might still look good, most manufacturers recommend replacing them every 6 to 10 years, regardless of tread wear. Over time, tires lose grip and can become dangerous even if they appear fine on the surface.

Before you buy used tires, make sure to check their age! If they’re too old, it’s better to invest in new ones for your safety.
