Amarok mysterious no start, loss of power and jerking. No error code. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't. Diagnosis - Starts on a cold day sometimes, wont start when its warm. 😅. And when it starts that whole day it starts at anytime and can drive but loss of power uphill and jerking sometimes. We took a 3 days trying to figure out the problem, especially that there were no error codes. Clogged fuel filter ? Fuel Pump ? Heater Plugs ? Injectors ? We discarded the timing because the client stated that they previously did timing and it was 100%. Until we decided to strip and there was the culprit. 🤦. . .

The mysterious Dq200. Sometimes quoting wrong can get you in trouble. How do you even quote if the gearbox misbehaves? How long has the customer been driving with this problem? How does one fault affect other related systems ?

Constantly driving with a leaky Valve body doesn't only affect that unit, it affects the clutches and also your TCM. From Diagnoses, the valve body was failing, new VBody in, pressure switch starts to misbehave, another VBody does the same . Car drives fine, but transmission pops when temp is optimal. Now it shows the TCM was affected🤦. At the end of the day, whats the real right way to go about it ? Quote complete mech or complete mech and clutch ? Because there are many instances where mech problems degrade the clutch and vise versa. . How would you Quote ?

If you dont prevent oil leaks on your tsi, it dies. That's the main cause of death for these engines. Components do not just give up, its a gradual process. Do the right thing for your motor and avoid cheap silicone for sealing.
