Your GPS won’t warn you — but we will. 🗺️💡 🛵
MUTE Rider Tips: Spot the signs. Stay compliant. Keep your cash. 💸
In the Pentagon area of Brussels, several low-traffic zones are restricted to most motor vehicles — including Class B electric scooters ⚡️ (yes, even the small, quiet mopeds… we don’t get it either 🤷 ).
👀 Look out for the C3 “No Entry” sign — access is prohibited 24/7 and monitored by ANPR cameras (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). If your number plate is detected in a restricted area, you could be fined €58.
⚠️ Plan your route wisely. Signs and permissions can change daily, so always check before you ride in.
📍 Tricky spot alert: In the Marolles District, one small street often catches riders off guard:
➡️ Rue de la Chapelle (between Boulevard de l’Empereur and Place de la Chapelle, 21).
This short stretch is reserved for authorised vehicles only: emergency services, public transport, taxis, maintenance, and waste collection etc.
💡 Need to pass through? Apply for an access permit via the Brussels City website.
This is Part 6 of our Rider Tips series.
