In a remarkable turn of events, Avik Anwar, hailed as Bangladesh's fastest man, secured a commendable third place in the fiercely competitive Malaysian Championship series. Avik himself attested to the arduous nature of this race, dubbing it the most challenging and personally significant of his career. Notably, he etched his name in the annals of Bangladeshi racing history as the first racer from the nation to conquer a grueling 300-kilometer race entirely on his own, a feat mirroring the distances covered in the prestigious F1 races.

Avik Anwar's indomitable spirit continues to etch historic victories on racetracks, further elevating Bangladesh's profile in the global racing circuit. Following his historic triumph as the first-ever international championship winner from Bangladesh last year, Avik continued to dazzle by clinching the third position in the Malaysian Championship series. What sets this achievement apart is the fact that he navigated the demanding 300-kilometer course solo, accomplishing the feat in a mere three hours, a testament to his exceptional skill and determination.

The margin of his defeat in the race was agonizingly narrow, with just a two-point difference separating him from the coveted first place. Avik Anwar, reflecting on this extraordinary achievement, remarked, "I've never embarked on a solitary three-hour race of this magnitude before. This race holds a special place in my heart."

The race day presented formidable challenges as adverse weather conditions forced a red flag at the outset. However, once the race resumed, Avik displayed unparalleled prowess, maintaining an unwavering and consistent performance. It was this remarkable consistency that allowed him to achieve the extraordinary.

It's worth noting that no racer from Bangladesh had previously dared to undertake the monumental task of racing 300 kilometers solo, making Avik Anwar's accomplishment truly historic.

The Malaysia Championship Series is a prestigious national racing competition promoted and organized by the Sepang International Circuit, serves as a platform to foster and nurture four-wheel racing sports in Malaysia.

TOYOTA has taken its luxury vehicle game to a whole new level with the Century, a car that's often seen as Japan's equivalent to the -Royce Cullinan. What makes it even more special is that only a limited number of these cars, around 30 units per month, will be available. It's not your typical Toyota or Lexus SUV; it's the cream of the crop and comes with a hefty price tag of 25,000,000 Japanese Yen, roughly equivalent to $170,000.

In terms of size, this SUV is quite imposing, measuring 197.8 inches in length, 78.3 inches in width, and standing 71 inches tall. It's a bit shorter but wider than the Century sedan and accommodates four passengers instead of five. With a generous wheelbase of 116.1 inches and weighing in at a substantial 5,665 pounds, it's a substantial vehicle.

Getting in and out of this luxurious ride is a breeze, thanks to grab handles on the C-pillars, electrically deployable side steps, and rear doors that open to a wide 75-degree angle. Alternatively, there are minivan-like electric sliding rear doors, as showcased during the presentation, featuring an intriguing GR-badged variant.

Under the hood, the Century SUV shares the TNGA platform with some enhancements for improved body rigidity and a more comfortable ride. Toyota has even gone so far as to use special laminated glass to minimize noise from the cargo area, ensuring a serene atmosphere for passengers reclining in the back seats. There's also a Rear Comfort mode that optimizes driving and braking to keep rear passengers undisturbed.

Powering the Century SUV is a plug-in hybrid system centered around a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a CVT and all-wheel drive thanks to a rear-mounted electric motor. This setup delivers a combined output of 406 horsepower, equivalent to the Lexus TX 550h+. Some enthusiasts might miss the 5.0-liter V8 from the sedan, which was the only V12 production model Toyota ever made.

You'll find this exclusive model at select dealers in Japan, and Toyota plans to offer extensive customization options for those looking to create truly unique vehicles. Don't fret, though; the Century sedan will still be available for those who prefer its classic charm.
