BRABUS was founded in 1977 by Bodo Buschmann and has since grown into the world’s largest independent tuner of automobiles. BRABUS headquarters are located in Bottrop in the heart of the Ruhr Valley, directly adjacent to the A2 autobahn. In addition to spacious showrooms the facility also houses the marketing and sales division, administration, the R&D department as well as the production plant of the globally operating company. An expansion of the BRABUS production and administration building on the 112,000-square meter (1.2 million square foot) grounds on BRABUS Allee was completed in the summer of 1999. BRABUS high-performance engines are developed with the help of state-of-the-art test benches in the company-own development center. The engine-building shop features the latest machines to create a manufacturing depth unique in this industry. Vehicle customization and service work is done at 85 high-tech workstations. BRABUS Zero Emission is the business division that works on alternative and even more eco-friendly technologies such as electric drive. One product from these activities is an exclusive customization program for the TESLA roadster, the world’s first electrically powered production sports car. In cooperation with RWE, one of the world’s largest producers of electricity, BRABUS developed the “Green Package.” The innovative all-around carefree package is the combination of the fascinating TESLA Roadster Sport BRABUS electric sports car and the RWE-BRABUS high-tech charging station. It gives owners of this electric car the capability of “refueling” quickly and eco friendly at home. Customers in Germany will also receive environmentally friendly RWE eco electricity for 30,000 kilometers (18,641 miles) as well as a one-year pass for free use of all public RWE charging stations. At the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW 2010 BRABUS presents three especially exclusive world premieres. Mercedes G 500 4x4²: Das neue, konsequent auf maximale Geländetauglichkeit ausgelegte Sondermodell der G-Klasse bietet die ideale Basis für exklusive
Veredelung à la BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, Telefon +49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, Telefax +49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com).
Dazu gehört nicht nur eine Leistungssteigerung des V8 Biturbo Triebwerks auf 368 kW / 500 PS und 710 Nm Drehmoment. Damit beschleunigt der getunte
Geländewagen in nur 6,9 Sekunden auf Tempo 100. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit ist wegen der reinrassigen Off Road Bereifung elektronisch auf 210 km/h
begrenzt.
Der spektakuläre Auftritt des Allradlers wird durch eine hochwertige BRABUS Sonderlackierung und gezielte BRABUS Karosserieretuschen weiter verstärkt.
Der Innenraum wird mit einer exklusiven BRABUS fine leather Mastik-Leder/Alcantara-Ausstattung veredelt.

Der Vierliter-Achtzylinder-Biturbo des Mercedes G 500 4x4² leistet ab Werk 310 kW / 422 PS und ist damit ein hervorragender Startpunkt für den neuen
BRABUS B40 - 500 PowerXtra Leistungskit. Herzstück des Umbaus ist ein Steuermodul, das in Plug-and-Play Technologie an das elektronische
Motormanagement adaptiert wird. In aufwendigen Testzyklen auf modernsten Leistungsprüfstanden und auf der Straße sowie im Gelände wurden die
elektronische Ladedruckregelung neu kalibriert und optimierte Kennfelder für Einspritzung und Zündung programmiert.

Das Ergebnis dieser Modifikationen wird dem spektakulären Auftritt des Geländewagens voll und ganz gerecht: 58 kW / 78 PS mehr Spitzenleistung und
ein um 100 Nm erhöhtes Drehmoment machen den mehr als drei Tonnen schweren Geländewagen deutlich agiler.
368 kW / 500 PS Höchstleistung bei 5.600 U/min und das hohe maximale Drehmoment von 710 Nm Drehmoment, das konstant zwischen 2.250 und 4.250 Touren
abgerufen werden kann, harmonieren perfekt mit dem Automatikgetriebe. Dessen sieben Gänge können bei Bedarf auch manuell über die ergonomisch
geformten BRABUS Aluminium-Schaltwippen am Lenkrad gewechselt werden.

Mit BRABUS B40 - 500 PowerXtra Motortuning sprintet der 4x4² in nur 6,9 Sekunden aus dem Stand auf Tempo 100. Bei 210 km/h wird der Geländewagen aus
Rücksicht auf die Geländebereifung elektronisch abgeriegelt.

Selbstverständlich wird auch diese Leistungssteigerung wie alle anderen BRABUS Komponenten mit der für die Branche einmaligen BRABUS Tuning-Garantie
über 3 Jahre bis 100.000 Kilometer (siehe BRABUS Garantiebedingungen, Stand Juli 2013) geliefert. BRABUS verwendet auch bei diesem Off Roader
exklusiv die Hightech-Schmierstoffe von Technologiepartner MOTUL.

Sound, Performance und Langlebigkeit sind die herausragenden Eigenschaften der BRABUS Edelstahl-Sportauspuffanlage mit Klappensteuerung. Hier kann
der Fahrer via Knopfdruck am Lenkrad zwischen einem diskreten "Coming Home" Modus oder der von einem betont kräftigen Motorsound begleiteten
Sportposition wählen. Das BRABUS Abgassystem setzt mit zwei Chrom-Endrohren auf jeder Fahrzeugseite auch aufregende optische Akzente im
außergewöhnlichen Sidepipe-Design.

Selbstverständlich verleiht BRABUS dem hochbeinigsten G-Modell aller Zeiten auch eine noch faszinierendere Optik. So erhält die Frontpartie ein
ebenso ausgefeiltes wie markantes Facelift. Der Serienstoßfänger wird links und rechts mit BRABUS Frontschürzenaufsätzen und einem hochglanzpolierten
Unterfahrschutz aufgewertet. Zusätzlich wird das Gesicht durch eine zusätzliche Blende unter dem speziellen Kühlergrill mit integriertem BRABUS Logo
geprägt. Die BRABUS Hutze auf der Motorhaube, der neue Kühlergrill und die Scheinwerferblenden sind alle aus Sicht-Carbon gefertigt und setzen damit
weitere markante Akzente.

Weitere optische wie funktionelle Akzente setzt das spezielle BRABUS Beleuchtungskonzept für die G-Klasse. Dazu gehören die in die BRABUS
Frontschürzenblenden integrierten LED-Leuchten mit Chromeinfassung. Noch dominanter sind die schwarz getönten BRABUS Xenon-Hauptscheinwerfer und
Tagfahrleuchten mit integrierter Blinkerfunktion. Die dadurch überflüssig gewordenen Serienblinker auf der Oberseite werden durch exakt passende
Sicht-Carbon-Blenden ersetzt. Sie runden die martialische Frontansicht des Geländewagens zusammen mit der Carbon-Struktur auf der Motorhutze und den
Carbon-Blenden für die Außenspiegel wirkungsvoll ab.

Zusätzlich wertet BRABUS die Seitenpartien mit einer Unterflurbeleuchtung für die Trittbretter auf, die durch Ziehen eines Türgriffs oder Betätigung
der Fernbedienung aktiviert wird.

Wie an der Front wird auch der Unterfahrschutz am Heck hochglanzpoliert. Die BRABUS Heckschürze macht die aufregende Rückansicht des mächtigen
Geländewagens komplett.

Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der BRABUS Veredelung des Mercedes G 500 4x4² ist der Innenraum. Das Showcar für die IAA 2015 erhielt in der hauseigenen
Sattlerei ein exklusives BRABUS fine leather Interieur in besonders weichem und atmungsaktivem schwarzem Mastik-Leder, das in präziser Handarbeit mit
pfeilförmigen Akzenten abgesteppt wurde. Die Kontrastnähte sind in Rot gehalten. Alcantara am Dachhimmel und weiteren Interieur-Elementen setzt
genauso aufregende Akzente wie die Carbon-Intarsien.

Die Passagiere, die das Cockpit auf Wunsch auch über spezielle, elektrisch ausfahrende BRABUS Trittstufen besteigen und verlassen können, werden von
Edelstahl-Einstiegsleisten mit beleuchtetem BRABUS Logo empfangen. Pointierte Akzente im Interieur werden von den BRABUS Interieurdesignern durch
edle Aluminium-Komponenten wie Pedale und Türverriegelungsstifte gesetzt.
