🌧️ Driving in the Rain? 🚗💦
Wet weather means reduced visibility, longer stopping distances, and slippery roads. A few simple habits can make all the difference:
✅ Slow down and leave extra space between you and the car in front.
✅ Turn your headlights on so you can see and be seen.
✅ Avoid sudden braking, accelerating, or sharp steering.
✅ Keep your windscreen clean and ensure your wipers are in good condition.
✅ Never drive through floodwater – if it’s flooded, forget it.
✅ Check your tyres regularly to ensure they have good tread for wet road grip.

🚨 DOUBLE DEMERITS ARE STILL IN FORCE – DRIVE SAFE! 🚨

The King’s Birthday long weekend means double demerit points apply in NSW until Monday 8 June. Police will be out in force targeting speeding, mobile phone use, seatbelt offences and dangerous driving.

At Eddys Driving School, we want everyone to arrive safely and protect their licence. Remember:

✅ Wear your seatbelt correctly
✅ Take regular breaks on long trips

🌧️ Wet weather driving tips from Eddy’s Driving School 🚗

• Slow down and leave extra space between cars
• Turn your headlights on so others can see you
• Brake gently and earlier than usual
• Avoid sudden turns or harsh braking
• Watch out for pedestrians, cyclists, and school zones
• Avoid large puddles and never drive through flood water
• Make sure your tyres and wipers are in good condition
• If visibility is poor, pull over safely and wait for conditions to improve

Remember: the first rain after a dry spell can make roads extra slippery. Stay alert and drive safely!
