The new racing season is creeping up fast.
Spent the last couple days in the shed making progress on putting the car back together.
Still a long way to go, but it feels good to be back in it.

On Friday, the team (Seiton, Mark, Trent, Chris) did something a little different! ⛳️
​Huge thanks to Ben Daley Signs for entering us into the charity golf day organized by Joel Jensen Constructions and OCP Constructions. We had an awesome day catching up with great people.
As for our golf game! Let’s just say there were plenty of hits, a whole lot of giggles, and a few well-earned drinks! 🍻
​Thanks to everyone involved, great turn out and money raised —we're already looking forward to the next one!

Saturday night we attended the DMA, NSW and QLD Dirt Modified Clubs presentations at Twin Towns, Tweed Heads.

Seiton came home with 3rd in the QLD Track Point Score and 1st in the Super Dirt Series. To top it off, he was awarded NSW Driver’s Driver—a huge surprise and an absolute honor! and thanks those that voted for him.

​A massive thanks to everyone who put the night together; it was awesome to see so many drivers and crews getting behind the event. Special shoutout to Josh Boyd for jumping on the mic and keeping things moving.

The 2025/26 V8 Dirt Modifieds Australian National Title winner is Seiton Young! 🏆

Read on to learn more about how team Young Racing came to be:

🔵How long have you been racing for?
I started racing circuit racing in 2018 at age 15. But I started my speedway career in 2021 in a wingless and then stepped up into dirt modifieds in 2022. So only for 5 and a bit years now.

🟢Favourite track to race on?
Currently it would have to be Toowoomba speedway. Just cause we have been so successful there this pass season but if I had to choose a top 3 it would be: Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool and B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway Mildura.

🟡 Who's the biggest influence on your Speedway career?
Throughout my career there has been so many people who have helped me. My biggest influencers would be my family, my Nan and Pop, my sister and Mum. And many more. If I had to choose one it would have to be my Dad, he got me into racing. His been there through all the ups and downs, and I will forever be appreciative of what he has done for me.

🔵Who were the first people you spoke to after crossing the finish line on title night?
My Crew. They were the only people I wanted to see first after the hard work they put in on that weekend. So to celebrate with them once I seen them was pretty special.

🟢How do you prepare for a race weekend?
Just do the basic stuff really, do the normal car prep and make sure everything is 100%. Make sure trailer is packed and cleaned. Obviously make sure all my race gear is packed.

🟡 What's one piece of advice you'd give people who are new to, or looking to try the sport?
Just start off in something that’s in your budget. Learn to drive in something that is simple and is cheap and easy to fix. Work your way up to where you wanna be and the class you wanna race in.

🔵 Do you have any race-day superstitions?
Umm maybe the good old wear red un**es on race day haha. But I haven’t done that couple times this pass season and not much changed so I guess it’s just if I have luck on your side come race night

🟢What's next?
Just take it as it comes I guess. Never know what might happen or what will pop up so just gonna keep doing what I’m doing and see where it goes.
