We were recently called to rescue a customer stranded in a stressful situation. Another towing company had attempted to move their massive motorhome with an unequipped truck, resulting in a poorly executed job and damage to the vehicle.
That’s when they called us to handle the situation.
We picked up the motorhome from Katherine to deliver it safely to the repairer in Darwin. While the vehicle is close to 9 meters long, our specialized 8.2-meter tilt-tray truck was perfectly equipped for the job. Thanks to the extra tray length, we were able to load, secure, and transport it legally, safely, and with absolute professionalism.

You had ONE job... 🤦‍♂️😂
We headed down to Emerald Springs working on behalf of another towing company. They had two jobs booked: a nice, straightforward motorhome and this rolled-over accident van.
The motorhome was supposed to be our pickup. But when we arrived, we discovered the other company’s rookie driver had decided to play musical chairs with the manifest. They took our nice motorhome and left us holding the bag with this smashed van stuck on its side! 🎁❌
To top it off, It was left in the absolute worst spot possible—right on a winding corner in low light. It was way too dodgy to try loading right then, so we decided to let the dust settle and came back the next morning with a plan.
We hooked up the trusty Mazda BT-50, flipped the wreck over, and skull-dragged it into a safe position where we could finally winch it onto the tilt tray. 🛠️💪
Next time, we’re labeling the trucks. But hey, the hazard is cleared, the job is done, and we got a good workout in! Swipe through to see the recovery. 👇

🧼 Who needs a gym membership when you’re washing a rig? 🏋️‍♂️

Getting those hard-to-reach spots counts as a full upper body workout, right? Honestly, at this point, I think there was more soap on me than on the truck. But hey, a clean machine is a happy machine! 🚛💨

UPDATE 530pm Friday 15 March - The Arnhem Highway is CLOSED between Wildman River West Branch and Oenpelli Road Intersection due to flooding at Wildman River.

There is water over the road at various locations along the Arnhem Highway.

It’s with deep regret the NT Towing Family wish inform you of the peaceful passing of Daniel Bruce Murray on Sunday morning 21st January.

He was a loving Husband, Father and Poppy to his many Grandchildren. He was a mentor throughout his life to many people he met, from his early days in Australia driving trucks in the construction industry to management of NAMROA (North Australian Motor Racing Officials Association) with volunteers for all Motorsports events in Darwin from mid 1990’s to mid 2000’s.

Dan will forever be remembered by everyone he’s met for his can-do attitude and his jovial persona, always trying to make light of a tough situation.

For those whom wish to attend his funeral service and celebrate his life and achievements, it will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Darwin City at 10am Monday 29th Jan followed by a Wake at a later announced location.
