Almost two weeks old now but big news for the Ford garage. Traded in the Fusion after selling the 7.3 in order to get a newer truck. Ended up with a 2019 F-250 STX 6.7L crew cab with 174,000 miles on it while I was down on Texas.

Only thing left to do is the license plate. What are your thoughts on the to options before. Please comment!

1. 2Rancho The was previously on the Fusion but only have two vehicles now
2. 5Rancho This is because I had to sell 2 & 3Rancho in order to get it hehe

Disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled all the lifters tonight. Top end should be buttoned up by the weekend.

In case anyone had thought I died from the Covid, you were wrong! 🙂

I recently bought a dirt bike for my girlfriend to ride and ended up going through most of that. Also, went through my Raptor (the a Ford Raptor but a Yamaha) front suspension to prepare for race season. First two races have been cancelled by hoping for the June race to still happen in MN.

Ranchero is taking priority again starting tomorrow so keep an eye out for more updates.

Had a great start to being quarantined. Pistons are in, measured both cam bearing journals, and measured piston clearance/dish volume. Both cams measure good but unsure of which one to use since they both have their problems. See pictures.

Compression ratio calculates out to 9.0-9.5 depending on the compressed head gasket thickness which I can't find for one the one I bought.... 😞

Switching trucks now. 7.3 PowerStroke fuel filter after 16 months and only 2,000 miles. Still trying to figure out where all the rust is from. If anyone has a lift and willing to help drop and clean the fuel tanks that'd be very much appreciated.

Got some work done on the 302. Fluids are drained. Found 3 loose intake bolts otherwise everything went great. Next job is to pull interested and leak test to check how back the rings are and if the heads are ok. Also can see where I might need to do a like exhaust porting to match the headers.... 😝

Tonight's work is completed. Engine is out for the first time since December of 1978 when it went down the Ford production line. Had an extra hand to run the "engine hoist" as I checked for interferences as it came out. Excited to get this engine leak checked, and pull the heads to see what happens when an engine is ran at above 17:1 AFR for almost 2 years.

Let me know what you want to see pictures of or a write up on.

Found a well worn engine mount tonight. Engine should be out tomorrow night.

Had some troubles yesterday posting a POLL yesterday via my story. Looking for feedback on removing the factory AC for a weight loss since it really doesn't work.
