And it’s on this day the 27th of May next year a 721km journey from Border Village to Norseman. The longest distance on the trip west as we lead into the 2026 GTR & XU-1 National Owners Meeting!

It's on this date in a years time many on the east coast of Australia will be converging into Port Augusta (May 24th) as a meet / marshalling point to then continue as a swarm of GTR & XU-1 Toranas enroute to Perth arriving Thursday May 28th.
Since my post earlier this week we've had a number email their interest.....what's stopping you?

Breaking NEWS!.....Its time those in the east took a drive to meet the fabulous owners of GTR and XU-1 Owners in the WEST!
With a dedicated meeting / rendezvous point of Port Augusta all in the east can travel as a group crossing the awesomeness of the Nullabor! Many owners of these cars have done it and its a awesome piece of road!...stay tuned as we start to motivate everyone!

The ‘service vehicle’ arrived home over Easter with a total of 9122km and a mammoth 1175k final day the ‘149’ 3 on the tree did well!…
The objective was to return the car to its original address when sold new in Tasmania plus utilising it as a service vehicle loaded with parts for the GTR & XU-1s. Running 14” wheels helps it get along the road easier as this car has a history of long trips….

With some still making it home throughout the trip we had a cast iron sway bar break on one of the XU-1s, a steering arm dropped on one of the GTRs, part of the gasket kit used on the ‘lady beetle’ and that was it. All fixed and resumed on the road…
Well done to all in another successful event bring owners and their cars together…
