Not every job is a quick service at ATM 😅🔧

This 2014 Mazda BT-50 with the Ford Ranger diesel engine came in with a leaking EGR cooler, allowing coolant into the exhaust.

Sounds simple enough… until you realise the gearbox has to come out just to get proper access to it. 👀

Gearbox out, failed cooler replaced, and everything put back together properly.

Just another day at ATM.

This is what one calls a contaminated EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. Diesel engines are prone to build up if continuously driven in the city and seldom used on the freeway.In this instance our technician was successful in cleaning the valve as opposed to purchasing a new valve , saving our client many dollars.

Truck came in on a tow truck with no engine power. After numerous tests and using our sophisticated scan tools we were able to narrow the issue down to a clogged DPF (Diesel particulate filter). Take a look at the contamination. After cleaning the DPF as opposed to purchasing a new unit, we saved the client many thousands of dollars. One happy running truck after the repair was successfully carried out by our cherished , loyal technicians.
