We conquered Bathurst!

We completed race 3 finishing 28th out of 42. After starting practice and setting lap times around the 3:20, after increasing our pace we ended the weekend punting out a time of 2:59:7.

This event has been a highlight for us, although there was many red flags we walked away with a straight car, won a fresh set of tires and enjoyed the trip out here to compete!

I’d like to thank the Crew, Jack Dare, Jack Pudney, Aiden Harris and Tom Morrison for giving up their Easter weekend to come out and make sure the car ran at its best.

Saturday at Bathurst in the books!

The morning stayed with an early qualifying only managing to punt out two laps before the session was red flagged. Moving onto race 1 which saw us completing one corner due to an on track incident causing the session to be called early.

Finally race 2 was a full session where we made up some ground and felt the car come more into its own.

Race 3 starts at 08:25 tomorrow morning, Bring on our final day of racing!

South Australia’s Ain Morrison is heading to Mount Panorama with a hands-on, self-made approach to racing 🏎️⛰️

Without coming through traditional pathways, Ain has been racing since 14 — learning it all from the ground up and carving his own way into the sport 👀🔥

One of his biggest achievements? Building three race cars himself and now taking that experience interstate to compete beyond SA 💪🔧

Off track, Ain works as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer — so precision and attention to detail are part of the job, both in the air and on the track ✈️

With goals of stepping into Aussie Race Cars or Improved Production, Ain is focused on continuing to build, race, and improve every time he hits the track 🏁

Introducing “The Trilogy.”

We have spent the past few months putting this one together to take on our biggest challenge yet;

As we return for the 2026 season under a new name, we’re also bringing something new to the grid. Sitting under wraps is our latest contender — a build we’ve dubbed “The Trilogy.”

Our Rebuild begins!

Firstly I’ll start off by thanking Grunter Racing Team for being kind enough to donate a car to start out rebuild our new Excel.

These guys have been good friends of ours ever since we made the jump from sprinting to competing in the state championship, they always go above and beyond to benifit the Excel community and it’s competitors and are an incredible example of grassroots camaraderie!

I will also extend my gratitude to my uncle Iain Morrison for putting together a GoFundMe and raising a little over $800 to go towards the rebuild! - to those who donated, thank you! Your donation is greatly appreciated

Finally, thanks to everyone who has reached out to offer support, it is a huge honour to have the community we have in SA

We look forward to revealing this new car in the coming months - watch this space!

Our race weekend has unfortunately ended in a written off car again.

We were having a really good race 3 and was making up positions until we got tangled up with another car during their re-entry to the track. Unfortunately resulting in the 983 being flipped on its lid.

Our driver Ain is safe and uninjured - massive thanks to the personal on site who assisted in the extraction and check over of our driver.

This is likely the last time we will get out on track for 2025, so we’d would like to thank all our friends, family and sponsors who have helped us out over this year!

Have got some track time in the books for this weekend, so far it has been abit problematic. Here’s a quick recap -

Practice day - alignment was out which was proving to be a little difficult with the wet weather

Qualifying - qualified in the back row due to further wheel alignment issues, thought we had fixed them in time for race one but hadn’t

Race 1 - started 21st, managed to push a lap time of 1.45.5 with an unhappy car. Finished 21st.

After we had discovered that the passenger side ball joint had failed which had been causing us our alignment issues. Then diagnosed our power issues, we believe we have resolved them.
