Saturday arvo in Leppington, I showed a learner how to save fuel without slowing everyone down. No fancy gadgets—just smoother habits that genuinely save fuel.
What we practised (and you can, too):
• Roll on, don’t rocket. Gentle take‑offs, leave space, brake earlier.
• Hold a steady pace (cruise on flat highways if it’s safe).
• Smart A/C: windows around town; A/C at higher speeds.
• Tyres at placard pressure (quick check on the door sill).
• Travel light: empty the boot, lose the unused roof racks.

Another productive day for Blinky Bills Driving School!
I completed a full mock driving test today with one of my students at the Gregory Hills Service NSW testing area, covering:
✔ Turning points
✔ Stop & give‑way checks
✔ Hill start & parking
✔ Speed control & buffering
✔ Common fail‑items
✔ Local route familiarisation
The student performed strongly and gained the confidence needed for the real test. Mock tests make a huge difference — they help learners understand the real conditions and expectations of an actual NSW driving test.
