I’ve finished my 500km break in, so far so good and without any problems as of yet.

I still need to regas the ac but it’s really low on my list of priorities at the moment as we head into winter, having the windows down keeps it cool enough as is. I can’t wait to get to uni break so I can put the kit back on too, it won’t help the front wheel gap but it’ll definitely improve the look overall

Honestly I forgot to post these ones before

I also love the back end of these cars as you can tell, but that’s because the front end without a lip looks like it has a crazy under bite. I wish Honda came out with more aftermarket lips and skirts for these though, and it’s pretty disappointing to see the new prelude is getting the same treatment - no diverse oem options for skirts or lip. Instead you can only add on a spoiler, a small canard looking front lip, carpets and illuminated door sills. (I would love the metal door sills in my prelude though if I could ever find them)

LEDS are practically a requirement in old cars

Since it’s a 1989 prelude it’s missing basic modern safety features (ABS, traction control and airbags), therefore any improvements to visibility while on the road are the next best thing. Hence the insanely bright led brake lights and licence plate lights.

I’ve also changed the corner lights and headlights to LEDS, which makes driving at night a lot easier due to the increased distance of vision. I also made sure to get headlights that have a clear flat cut off beam and they’re adjusted to not shine into the windows of passing traffic (how do modern cars never have the angle aligned correctly?)

It deserves the kit again

I’m planning to paint match the kit but I’ve got no time nor money after doing the engine rebuild. I’ll be on uni holidays soon so I’ll stack some cash and keep driving it in the mean time :)

I’m very happy to have it running again and the response from everyone that’s seen it has been very gratifying. It’s a joy to drive everywhere and my new biggest issue is trying to stop myself driving it daily 😂
