Starting life as a Gen 1 GTX3582R, we’ve upgraded the original Garrett 11-blade 62/82mm GTX compressor to our 7+7 blade 64/84mm billet compressor wheel.
The larger 64mm inducer and 84mm exducer gives a significant increase in compressor flow capacity, while the modern 7+7 blade aero is designed to maintain strong response and efficiency across the whole operating range.

IGV compressor intakes... now that's interesting 🤔
This rare Audi V12 Diesel runs twin Garrett GTB2260VK VNT turbochargers, each featuring an integrated IGV (Inlet Guide Vane) compressor inlet.
Unlike a conventional compressor cover, these guide vanes help condition and straighten airflow before it reaches the inducer, improving compressor stability, surge margin and overall efficiency.
OEM engineers don't add complexity without a reason, especially on a 6.0L twin-turbo V12 producing massive low-rpm torque.
Some very clever engineering hidden in what looks like an ordinary compressor cover.
