It’s been a long time since we have posted here at NextGen Automotive, we have been busy maintaining and repair our regular customers vehicles keeping them on the road.

DID YOU KNOW WE ALSO DO 4x4 UPGRADES?!

Here’s what we recently did on a customers 2012 Toyota Hilux SR5 to get them ready for their trip to WA.

We fitted,
- A 2” Dobinsons lift kit with Mono Tube shock absorbers all round
- 2” Rear leaf springs with 450kg to support the weight of the rooftop tent, canopy, drawer system and fridge in the rear
- A new Heavy Duty Extreme outback clutch and machined flywheel
- New Bendix 4WD front brake pads and rotors
- New rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders
- Performed a brake fluid system flush
- and fitted a new clock spring to the steering wheel due to the horn not working in the straight position

The results speak for themselves leaving the customer with a much more comfortable and safe ride for their trip

Today we had a little Mazda 2 in for a service, customer explained the car had been feeling sluggish lately

Upon further investigation the Mass Air Flow sensor was found to be completely covered in dirt and grime, the MAF sensor is a major part to altering the Air fuel mixture and if it’s dirty like this one, can give false readings altering the air fuel mixture not allowing the vehicle to run effectively

With every air filter change we clean the MAF sensor and the throttle body aswell as reset the fuel adaptions using the diagnostic equipment where possible to return the engine to its optimal running conditions

This Rodeo was starting to get hotter than normal whilst driving, Pulled the radiator out and it was found to be almost completely blocked, a new radiator and thermostat fitted and she’s good for its next adventure

*Tip: If you’ve been through mud or water splashes, remember to give the front of the car through the grille a good wash to eliminate this from happening

Last week was suspension week, we also had this Amarok in for a 2”lift kit with new shocks/struts all round, new front springs and upper control arms, front diff drop kit and leaf spring spacers for the rear, came up even higher than expected the pictures speak for themselves

This week we had this VE Calais in for a knock in the front suspension when going over bumps, the front struts and strut top mounts were found to be completely worn, a new set of Monroe shock absorbers and strut top mounts were fitted

This FGX Xr6 ute we had in on Wednesday definitely got all the use out of the brake pads! 😮
