Holden colorado P0697:07 5Volt reference code. Limp mode loss of power. Also had tailiight fault codes and fuel level sensor code.
Harness worn through LHF wheel area on chassie. Good idea to check even if no faults yet. To prevent from happening.

Is your diesel running rough,shaky or diesel knock is louder than usual or blowing lot of black smoke. These could be symptoms of bad fuel injectors. Diesel injectors operate at very high pressures ( over 26000psi) and they do wear out. It is recommended that they get checked and cleaned and nozzles replaced at 100000km intervals. A leaky or a faulty diesel fuel injector if left unchecked can cause a lot of damage to an engine. It can melt pistons and cylinder heads beyond repair. Then the repair will be a lot more than an injector service.

New modern diesel engines are built to very tight tolerances but they are not high maintenance as some people may think. Just give them regular log book scheduled servicing and they will serve you for a long time. Have you had you diesel fuel filter replaced recently? It is the one of the most important service items in ensuring that your old Or modern diesel engine runs great for a long time. This one is from a 2018 Ford Ranger 3.2 after just 20 000km.
