Been a very busy month in the remanufacturing department.
The boys have been working hard and successfully remanufactured some unique and rare components.

✴️Bendix Hydrovac as fitted to a Ford F500. This includes a complete strip down, wet blasting, resleeve of the bores in stainless steel and replacement of all wearing parts.
✴️Clayton Dewandre Air Assisted Pull Type Servo. This includes a full rebuild using Wabco parts including wet blasting, resleeve in stainless and kitting the master cylinder and testing as a unit on our purpose built test rig.
✴️Brembo rear calipers as fitted to Iveco Daily van including full rebuild with new piston, handbrake shaft and high quality rubber.
✴️Holden Statesman WB VH515 booster rebuild including powder coating satin black inside and out and all new internals.
✴️Delco Moraine 5455261 Plymouth displacement type master cylinder including wet blasting, resleeve in stainless steel and kit.

And from Automechanika Frankfurt, Opel Classic's Leif Rohwedder tells us the skills problem is recognised, but: “I don't really see any large-scale remedy at the moment.”

Real disc brakes....Halibrand - Airheart brake calipers from the 50's. A very interesting design manufactured for the racing fraternity. Light, complicated and over engineered. We recently had these calipers through the shop for a freshen up including blasting and all new EPDM Peroxide Cured seals. They will take pride of place on the rear of our customers 50's American Sprint Car.

Eye candy.....the Lotus Elan Plus 2 - a classic 2+2 grand tourer sports car built by Lotus from 1967 to 1975. Developed by Colin Chapman as a larger, more family-oriented, and upscale version of the original two-seater Elan to accommodate two children or short-trip rear passengers.

Remember the Nissan Pulsar ET Turbo?....A pocket rocket in its day! Manufactured in Australia, front wheel drive with a 1.5L turbocharged engine. The team at PW Brakes were trusted by our customer to remanufacture the PBR master cylinder to better than new condition. A bit of a tricky unit, with a 13/16 - 1" stepped bore and intricate built in proportioning valves. We resleeved the bores in stainless steel and rekitted with quality rubber. All in days work for the team.

Love it or hate it, the Rover SD1 turns heads. This booster and master cylinder came in for some PW Brakes magic.
The original AP Lockheed booster? Non-rebuildable. The solution — we built a PBR conversion booster instead, restudding the front and rear housings for a perfect bolt-in fit.
The master cylinder got the full treatment: resleeved in stainless steel, brake-fluid-resistant coating, and a complete rekit with all-new rubber components.

Fast it ain't. Rare it is. Ever seen a Toyota Toyoace 25 before? Built in the 1960s as a predecessor to the Dyna series, these components just rolled into PW Brakes for a full brake and clutch hydraulic restoration.
The works: cylinders blasted, bores resleeved to original spec in stainless steel, coated in brake-fluid-resistant paint, and rebuilt with all-new rubber components — done exactly the way we do every job, whether it's from last year or last century.

Another one done right. Our remanufacturing team just finished a complete master cylinder rebuild for a 2009 Volkswagen Touareg (Part No: 7L0611019F) — bore sleeved in stainless steel bore, all-new rubber components, fully tested and warranted.
When key parts become obsolete, we keep vehicles on the road. This one's good for another 17 years.
