Remember the Nissan Pulsar ET Turbo?....A pocket rocket in its day! Manufactured in Australia, front wheel drive with a 1.5L turbocharged engine. The team at PW Brakes were trusted by our customer to remanufacture the PBR master cylinder to better than new condition. A bit of a tricky unit, with a 13/16 - 1" stepped bore and intricate built in proportioning valves. We resleeved the bores in stainless steel and rekitted with quality rubber. All in days work for the team.

Love it or hate it, the Rover SD1 turns heads. This booster and master cylinder came in for some PW Brakes magic.
The original AP Lockheed booster? Non-rebuildable. The solution — we built a PBR conversion booster instead, restudding the front and rear housings for a perfect bolt-in fit.
The master cylinder got the full treatment: resleeved in stainless steel, brake-fluid-resistant coating, and a complete rekit with all-new rubber components.

Good for another 45 years. That's the PW Brakes way.

Fast it ain't. Rare it is. Ever seen a Toyota Toyoace 25 before? Built in the 1960s as a predecessor to the Dyna series, these components just rolled into PW Brakes for a full brake and clutch hydraulic restoration.
The works: cylinders blasted, bores resleeved to original spec in stainless steel, coated in brake-fluid-resistant paint, and rebuilt with all-new rubber components — done exactly the way we do every job, whether it's from last year or last century.

Another one done right. Our remanufacturing team just finished a complete master cylinder rebuild for a 2009 Volkswagen Touareg (Part No: 7L0611019F) — bore sleeved in stainless steel bore, all-new rubber components, fully tested and warranted.
When key parts become obsolete, we keep vehicles on the road. This one's good for another 17 years.

From worn out to better than new. Another challenge successfully completed. Remanufactured AP Racing CP6465-202 pull type master cylinder including resleeving the bore in stainless steel and manufacturing a new pushrod.

Quality control and cleanliness are critical...... our customer had imported a set of remanufactured Bendix twin piston calipers from the U.S for his tractor, but one caliper turned out to be a leaker. A quick high-pressure test confirmed what we suspected – the channel seal was the culprit.

What made it interesting was that it held fine under steady pressure, but as soon as we pulsed it, the leak appeared. Once we stripped it down, we found the cause: a nicked channel seal with a tiny piece of plating swarf hiding underneath it.

At PW Brakes we follow a strict remanufacturing process to ensure this doesn't happen. Parts are dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned, wet blasted and coated in a brake fluid resistant coating, assembled with all new parts and pressure tested before dispatch.

DBA calipers, but not what you instantly think. "Dunlop-Bendix Australia" manufactured calipers for all the usual suspects but these calipers are unique, and likely made via license from Bendix themselves. In Europe, the same caliper can be found with "Bendix A" cast into the body. Australia had some unique requirements for locally sold imports that weren't assembled here. To protect our Australian manufacturers, many components had to be locally manufactured and supplied....What a time that was, huh? But lets not go there!

These are off a Lancia Beta and came in for the full PW Brakes remanufacturing service....... not one set but two!

The front calipers are twin circuit units with three O-rings on the rear circuit before the main piston seal – plenty of potential leak points. The rear calipers are a complex unit and include the handbrake.

After measuring up and inspecting the bores, both caliper sets required sleeving the rear bores of the front calipers, new pistons and kits.

All finished, high-pressure tested and are now back to looking and performing like new.
