‼️IMPORTANT‼️

Dear customers,

Due to our recent experience with a customer who purchased a spare part and tried to install it without checking if the part actually fits his vehicle we would like you to read the following disclaimer.

⚫️ Euro Revolution supplies parts based upon ETKA, our experience and what you ask for.
⚫️ We are not responsible for knowing or finding out what modified parts are actually fitted to your vehicle and if the part you have purchased will or will not work with the modifications completed on your vehicle.
⚫️ We are not responsible if you proceed to willingly fit the wrong parts to your vehicle. If you order parts before removing the old parts off the vehicle it is now your responsibility to make sure they fit. Many of these cars are modified, parts are adapted and some of the cars we supply parts for are nearly 50 years old.
⚫️ We are happy to exchange or refund if you ordered incorrect parts as long as they are brand new and have not been fitted into a vehicle. Once a part is fitted we are no longer able to sell it as a new part therefore we will not be able to accept the part back nor issue a refund.
⚫️ We don’t have the facilities to have a scratch and dent section and we aren’t a second hand dealer. We also aren’t a test centre, so if you purchased a part, installed it to your vehicle and it didn’t work we will not accept the part back nor issue a refund.
⚫️ We have sold items in the past that have been used to “test” it’s functions. In one case an item was returned after being tested and shorted out internally due to faulty wiring. We are now no longer going to have a return policy on new parts for these reasons.
As a small business we are doing our best to keep items in stock at low prices and it is in our best interest that our customers should take more responsibility for parts ordered.
Please remember to respect a person on another end that provides you with a service or supplies goods as in return we will always be happy to help and find the best solution.

Thank You,
Euro Revolution Team

With a seemingly endless supply of work and the inability to take any real time off I made plans to do another QLD trip with a small twist . This time it was decided to go inland again to Longreach and Winton specifically for the Dinosaur museum there . First section covered we would make it just after Nyngan before stopping for the night . Here tragedy struck for the one and only time for the A3 with the ignition barrel end breaking off . Crisis quickly resolved by pulling the cover off and using the ignition switch to start the car . From there it was almost a full tank to Longreach creating a new distance record of 1061km to 1 tank . That being said the car was no lightweight with tools , camping equipment , spare battery , fuel , food as well as parts for a job in Cairns . The remainder of the journey was uneventful . One item to not was the sheer amount of flies encountered at Longreach/Winton !

With Armourfest over the weekend and the little green golf finished we headed back to the workshop with a new addition to the collection . A 1995 Yellow MK3 colour concept . Although picking this up for quite cheap it needed a lot of work . It came with no plates and unregistered so I organised a permit before I left so I could drive it down . First thing I had to do was flush the rusted water out and fit a new coolant bottle and cap . The original one would not hold any pressure . During the long process of doing this the starter decided to stop working which meant I had to clutch start the car everytime to get the engine running . Not such an easy thing to do when you have a 2500km drive ahead !

First stop was being pulled over at Cardwell with the police officer checking my papers and license before letting us go . Next stop was just after Ingham where once again we were stopped , papers and licences checked as well as a breath test and drug test before we got to our first fuel stop just outside of Townsville . It was at this point I found that the alternator had started overcharging the battery and was boiling the fluid . For the rest of the journey I was filling the battery through the breather holes with water to keep it going . It had completely killed the battery and ended up using the jump starter to clutch start the car . So onwards to the inland road and onto Charters Towers . Once it became dark the headlights seemed to work exceptionally well and we did around 500km that day before camping for the night . We had a little bit of rain overnight so the roads were also slippery .

Day 2 -
I had to top up the coolant as the light had come on the previous night and found the electric water pump had a small leak . So we continued to make our way to Emerald , Rollerstone , Injune and finally Roma before stopping for fuel (I had 70l worth of Jerry cans as the VR6 at best got 550km to a tank while the A3 nearly 1000) . It was at the petrol station that we had the police visit us and check our papers and licenses . After we started driving out of town we had a different set of officers pull as over for the same reason !
At this stage the alternator had almost given out completely and the headlights were no more than a candle in strength . The A3 became the lead car and we managed to get to around Surat before camping for the night . Distance covered 1320km

Day 3 -
After experiencing some hairy moments in the rain the previous day I decided to look into all the issues with the car and what I could do . I found the inner part of the tyres to be completely bald and swapped the front to the rear . While looking at the suspension just about everything was worn - Coilovers were leaking (cheap chinese ones) , strut top mounts , control arm bushes , tie rod ends , ball joints . Its no wonder I couldnt go faster than 100 and Im doing 80 at best most of the time ! Even the engine mount on the front is either missing or completely worn to the point the engine mount carrier is sitting on the support bar and there is no bolt there at all so the engine tilts up and down like a see-saw during acceleration ! I also noticed that the coolant crack pipe and thermostat housing started leaking as well !
With all the fluids topped up we were on our way again . First stop was Nindigully for breakfast at the local hotel before heading to Moree where we had our first proper phone reception since Charters Towers . Then Narrabri , Booggabri , Coolah before stopping at Mudgee for dinner . The last of the fuel was used here before heading to Lithgow , Katoomba and finally St Marys . Arriving just before midnight and covering 2480km .
I must thank the wife Karolina Najder for putting up with me during this stressful drive . This is reminiscent of my racing at WTAC in terms of stress and anxiety levels !

What makes this drive so hard and unique for us wasnt the distance , Ive covered more distance in 2 days than what I did in the Golf for 3 . It was the level of stress holding the steering wheel tight for such a long period and fighting to keep the car on the road not knowing how bad the next pothole could be , and yes there is some really bad roads out there ! I had no heating and was forced to keep the window open the whole journey as the car smelt like a zoo inside ! Ive since gotten sick , but Im relieved that the journey is done and another VR6 is added to the stable . 2023 I'll be restoring the car as close to standard as I can and make it more enjoyable to drive !

Just a sidenote : The VR6 has only around 10,000km more than the A3 in total kms travelled ! These 2 cars are perfect examples of what happens when you look after your car or neglect it !

With a recent trip up north it’s time to update another instalment to the A3 and the some small hardware and software changes to the ecu as well as the greatest distance travelled so far .

First day over Easter was a trip straight from the workshop to Brisbane for the speedway at Archerfield . The following morning meeting up with Ray Box for his long awaited wheel delivery ! Around 980km to a tank of fuel . Topped up with a jerry can I had available before heading out to Longreach via Rockhampton . About 150 km out of Rockhampton topped up the fuel again and with approx 45l managed to run 950km while driving to Winton , Hughenden then to Charters Towers , Townsville and onto Cairns before finally filling up the car and Jerry cans .The elusive 5l per 100km was broken reaching approx 4.8L per 100km in the long unbroken stretches of flat open road country . Car was still relatively full at this stage as well with tools , parts , camping equipment , drums of oil and a few jerry cans . Over the next week I drove as far as Daintree but unable to go further due to flooding . The plan was to go as far north that a non 4wd car could go .
One of the main reasons for my trip up north was the continuation of work on a car in Cairns . I spent a few days fixing up some previous issues and listing future repairs .
The return journey was along the coast road with an overnight stop before Brisbane , while the Saturday night was spent at the speedway again . The last part of the journey was spent closer to the speed limit with the fuel economy dropping off closer to 6.0L per 100km .
Total voyage journey was approx 7450km with an overall average fuel consumption around 5.8L per 1000km .
The car is now over 22 years old and still drove faultless the whole time . The only issue I had was a battery terminal coming loose , probably due to some of the rough roads/lots of roadworks and multiple potholes due to the never ending rain !
One victim of the journey was a dove that was part of a flock that unfortunately made a wrong turn on the side of the road .
The vehicle will shortly be dropped off at the panel beaters for its long awaited facelift upgrade and minor incident repair . With my current knee surgery and inability to work or drive it will be a while before I am able to take it to the drags again to get that elusive 13 second pass . I feel confident in its power , traction has always been the weakness !

Edit : bonus points if anyone can guess the car spotted . First time I ever seen one .

With less and less workshops being familiar with the older models we are fast becoming the only place that actually has stock/knowledge for these cars .
Came in as a non runner Friday night with a non working fuel pump , we replaced the pump , fuel filter , fitted a correct fuel cap , swapped the oil filter for the correct one , replaced the spark plugs , put the distributor cap on the right way and it goes better than what it has for years and it’s all ready for the Monday work week !

We recently had a 2.0TSI Q3 with an EA888 gen 1 engine come in for cooling system issues . We were able to supply both the aluminium thermostat housing and water pump but also the newly released updated steel design bypass pipe . The shape is slightly different to the common failing plastic pipe , but it fits without any issues . This will be a welcome addition to Mk6 Gti , A3 8V TSI , Tiguan 2.0 TSI , Q3 etc owners who have long suffered with failing plastic coolant pieces

Not long ago we purchased a mk4 Gti with slight damage for $500 , fixed it up with a small budget then took it for a very long trip to Cairns from Sydney . We returned without a single issue and the car is still being used as a loan car .
Fast forward some 2 years later and the daily driven car was prepared for the same journey with even less work being carried out before its long voyage . This time we would be making multiple stops on the way to drop parts off and we would be working on a car some 2500km away ! With the car literally packed to the roof with parts and tools the 3 day journey was covered averaging 850-900km to each tank !
Nearly 2 weeks was spent in Cairns before returning to the workshop . Once again not a single problem happened with the car . A testament to the abilities of a workshop that knows the car and services and maintains all parts of the car to such a level that it can be taken anywhere at anytime and be just as reliable as a new car !
