Well well well what can we say but Steven Bradbury is back.
Thomas Plant Hire Battlegrounds over the weekend, what a blast.
Cam Marks , Nikki and the team, hats off to you guys, great event - only getting better and better.

First heat on Friday arvo ended in hitting a tree leading to bending a rim and redesigning the front panard rod not that far from the start line (i may have been a little to keen). With a quick repair thanks to luke from LandS for the lend of the wielder and a few rock ape swings of a big hammer we were ready to go again.

Rest of the heat ending up going as such - good>dnf>good>dnf>good.
Yet some how we still ended up in the Sunday final. This is were Steven Bradbury can into play.

We hit the first corner in last position got around 1 car on the portal section, next the hornets nest cars every where we found a line drove the rocky hill and overtook 4/5 teams then just continued on with the plan of let's just aim on finishing. When getting to the end of the 2.5 laps we hit the finish box everyone cheering thinking it was just because we finished, then Cam told us we had taken out 1st place in challenge class.

Can confirm still shocked -

Well done to all teams it was a battle ground that's for sure.

Huge thank you to Alec Gratton for pushing me all weekend and swinging spanners when needed. Thank you to Nichole Gratton for looking after us and making sure we ate at least something.

To the battlegrounds marshals and team these events don't run without you, thanks again can't wait to see what you throw at us next time.

One thing I’ve never ask Nick is how did the name Rock Ape Racing come about?

To me is sounds quite a bully name when mentioning other teams such as Have A Go Racing can clearly see that Nick even is his mug shot is talking down to Coyote Racing.

Nick is quite a tall guy and don’t stress, he’s actually a really really nice guy!
