It was the year that the millionth VW Beetle was produced and it coincided with the formation of the Volkswagen Club of WA Inc. About us:
The Volkswagen Club of WA members varies from the family with their Kombi Camper or Passat, to the Uni student with their aged Beetle or Golf, from the mechanic who has his competitive version to the enthusiast with their customised love affair. The numbers incl
ude both air and water-cooled versions. The Day of the Volkswagen is the biggest event on the Club's calendar. In addition, at least one Club run or event per month is organised. This could be an easy run with picnic, a visit to a country town, a meet up at Alfred's Kitchen, a cruise up the the coast, a bush camp, attendance at a car show or any other event members request. The Club produces an online member magazine known as VWWA in which announcements, meetings, technical tips, general news and supporters advertisements are to be found. Our membership covers all corners of the state, so not all members can attend all events all the time. The Volkswagen Club of WA Inc has always had a committee which has endeavoured to provide a sturdy foundation on which the Club can be built. Want to be a member?
