Part-time fabrication & vehicle fitout role available in Forrestdale, Perth.
If you love working with your hands, making parts fit properly, keeping lines straight, and achieving a clean, factory-style finish, this role will feel right for you. You’ll be shaping panels, fitting accessories, making brackets, trimming interiors, and preparing clean layouts ready for electrical installation. We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in tidy, well-presented work.
This role suits people with flexible schedules or non-traditional lifestyles — FIFO on days off, firefighters, semi-retired tradies, tradies between contracts, 4WD enthusiasts, or anyone wanting steady hands-on work without full-time commitment.
At Wire Guy Global, we specialise in custom vehicle builds — 4WD fitouts, audio upgrades, and 12V systems — all built for reliability, smart layouts, and a factory-quality finish. You’ll handle the fabrication, mounting, and prep work that makes great builds possible. No wiring required — just solid hands-on skills and attention to detail.
What you’ll be doing:
• Fabricating and mounting accessories
• Building brackets and custom panels
• Installing subwoofers, speakers, and sound deadening
• Mounting dual batteries, chargers, inverters, fuse panels
• Installing dash cams, cameras, lights, solar panels
• Removing and refitting trims, panels, seats and bumpers
• Pre-running wiring
• Using tools confidently (drill, Dremel, jigsaw, nutserts, etc.)
You’re someone who:
• Takes pride in clean, aligned, factory-style installs
• Measures accurately and enjoys making things fit perfectly
• Thinks ahead, problem-solves, and works calmly
• Keeps the workshop and tools clean and organised
• Sees this as a craft, not just a job
Bonus if you’ve done car audio, cabinetry, trimming, canopy builds, or worked on your own 4WD or van.
