This is a big milestone for us and another step forward in the direction we’ve been working towards for years.

If you know me, you’ll know there’s two things I really like in this world.

Number one: Porsche.

Number two: satin PPF.

So it doesn’t get much better than a 992.1 Porsche Turbo S 😮‍💨

This one recently came through the shop for a full satin PPF conversion, taking the factory gloss black finish and transforming it into a stealth finish that looks absolutely killer.

The owner of this car has a bit of a thing for stealth PPF himself, much like me, so we’d talked about doing something like this for a while.

Eventually, we pulled the trigger.

Being a car worth well over $600,000, this was definitely one where we had to be extremely mindful of what we were doing. There’s no room for rushing, cutting corners or removing things just for the sake of it.

This one received a very mild disassembly, with the guys from Btuned coming out to remove the centre-lock wheel nuts so we could safely remove the headlights and achieve a much better overall finish around the front end.

A massive thank you to the guys at Btuned for helping us out with that one.

We also modified all of the templates and patterns across the vehicle to improve coverage and minimise any OEM gloss showing through the satin film.

Of course, we finished the whole thing off properly.

The interior and panels were ceramic coated, the wheels were ceramic coated, the glass was protected, and the satin PPF itself received a ceramic coating to keep that finish looking its best.

Taking an already ridiculous car and completely changing the way it looks, while protecting the original paint underneath.

One of our favourite Prado builds to date 👌

These guys originally reached out to us through the website after seeing that we specialise in paint protection film and ceramic coatings.

After a few emails back and forth, they came in for a chat, had a look at some of the satin PPF work we’d done in person, and were instantly hooked.

They booked the car in around six weeks before the Prado was even due to arrive, so as soon as it landed, we got stuck into it.

The factory Dusty Bronze paint was left completely untouched underneath, and we transformed the entire exterior with satin paint protection film.

Now, satin PPF isn’t just a matter of putting the same patterns we use for gloss film onto the car.

To get the finish looking as close as possible to a genuine factory satin or matte paint job, we modify the patterns to improve coverage and minimise any of the original gloss paint bleeding through around edges, joins and awkward areas.

There was probably close to six hours just in modifying and mapping patterns before we even got properly stuck into the install. It’s those little details that make a huge difference to the finished car.

The result is a completely different look, while still giving the vehicle the benefits of PPF — stone chip protection, self-healing properties and resistance to light swirls and everyday abrasion.

They also opted to have ceramic coating applied over the satin PPF itself, giving the film an extra level of protection and making maintenance even easier.

And honestly… this colour in the sun is bloody insane.

Definitely one of my favourite cars we’ve done so far. I reckon everyone should put satin PPF on their car 😂

More importantly, they were absolutely awesome people to deal with from start to finish, which makes jobs like this even better.

After our lil’ mini fire on the Powercruise Day 1 burnout pad we took "SMOKEBOMBA" over to Flash Detailing for a proper clean-up.
Keeping a burnout car looking like a show car isn’t easy, but it’s a crucial part of what we do with the ultimate show and go car. 💨✨

Tell me I’m wrong… but EVERY car needs to be satin. 🔥

Seriously… look at this thing. 😮‍💨

This is one of our really good clients’ 992 Porsche Turbo S. We’d been talking about doing a satin conversion on this one for a while, and finally, it was time.

And holy shoot… the result speaks for itself. 🔥

This is a full satin conversion, using the original gloss black paint underneath and applying satin paint protection film over the top. No repainting, no permanent change to the car. Just a complete change in the look and sheen of the finish, while adding the protection of PPF at the same time.

And in my opinion… this thing looks absolutely insane.

The combination of the black paint, those beautiful Porsche body lines and the satin finish is just 🤌🔥. It completely transforms the personality of the car and makes every line stand out.

I’ve always been a sucker for satin, but this one has officially pushed me over the edge.

Every. Car. Needs. Satin.

There. I said it. 😂

We also ceramic coated the PPF, ceramic coated the wheels, treated the interior and ceramic coated all of the glass.

So not only did we completely transform the look, but we’ve also put the protection in place to make this thing easier to maintain and help preserve the finish for years to come.

And a massive shoutout to the legends at B Tuned for coming through and removing and reinstalling those centre lock wheels for us.

Those bad boys are torqued to a ridiculous 600Nm… so yeah, we were more than happy to let someone else deal with those. 😂

This was such a bloody cool project and honestly…

THE LAST CALL. 🐝💥

One of the final chapters of an absolute American icon.

Dodge SRT Hellcat Widebody — Last Call.
Rare in the States. Even rarer in Australia.

A car like this doesn’t just turn heads… it stops traffic.

An absolute privilege to have one of these legends in the studio — even more so when they’re worth upwards of $350,000. 🇺🇸

For this one, we went all out.

A full-body PPF installation spanning an entire week, using a hybrid template with extensive modifications to maximise coverage while achieving an exceptionally clean, tucked finish — keeping as much of the film hidden as possible.

The paint, wheels, interior and glass were then finished with ceramic protection, giving this Last Call the level of protection it deserves.

When you’re looking after a car this rare — and this valuable — the details matter.

Fresh wheels, fresh maintenance and this Taycan Cross Turismo is looking bloody good again. ⚡️

This one came back into the studio for its ceramic coating maintenance detail, and while it was here we also ceramic coated the freshly repainted wheels before they went back on the car.

We originally completed our Level 3 Protection Package on this car around six months ago, including PPF to the front end and ceramic coating over the rest of the car.

Six months on and it’s still looking absolutely fabulous.

There’s something pretty satisfying about seeing a car come back in for its maintenance and seeing how well the protection has held up.

Fresh wheels, a proper maintenance detail and this thing is ready to hit the road again. 👌

Some cars are special. This one definitely is.

This genuine VL Holden Calais is becoming harder and harder to find, especially in this condition.

Recently treated to a mild restoration with a closed-door respray and a stunning factory-style retrim by Carmans Interiors, this Calais now perfectly balances classic Aussie style with modern performance.

Under the subtle exterior sits an LS V8 conversion with Haltech setup and all the right gear.

At a glance, the factory style wheels don’t give much away, but that’s the point. It’s the definition of a sleeper, quiet, subtle and guaranteed to surprise anyone who lines up beside it.

Our role was to refine what was already an incredible build.

After carefully enhancing the fresh paintwork, we applied a ceramic coating to protect the finish and make future washing and maintenance much easier.

We also finished off the finer details, including restoring the factory wheel centres with fresh black and red accents and fitting new chrome trim throughout the car.

The interior deserves a special mention.

Adam and the team at Carmans Interiors absolutely nailed the retrim. We were happy to recommend them for the job and the finished result speaks for itself.

One final detail even brought back some great memories.

The number plates, FPV RIP.

Nine years ago, I had the privilege of detailing another one of the owner’s cars wearing those same plates.

It was a twin turbo Holden SS Ute making around 1,000 horsepower.

I still remember the ride he took me on, and fair to say it scared the life out of me.

Seeing those plates again nearly a decade later, now on this beautifully built VL, was a pretty cool full circle moment.

Another awesome project wrapped up recently – this Mitsubishi Triton came in for paint protection film to the cab, giving the exposed paint the protection it needs before heading off on plenty more adventures.

With the canopy covering the rear, protecting the cab made perfect sense. Whether it’s stone chips on the highway, light scratches from overgrown tracks, or the general wear and tear that comes with exploring Australia’s best destinations, PPF provides that extra layer of confidence without changing the look of the paint.

As with every PPF installation, preparation is everything. We started with a thorough decontamination wash and detail to ensure the paint was perfectly clean before installation. From there, we carried out the necessary disassembly, including removing the snorkel, roof racks, door handles, and badges, so we could wrap edges wherever possible and create the cleanest, most seamless finish we could achieve.

The end result is a finish that’s incredibly discreet, with the film tucked away and virtually invisible while providing long-term protection where it matters most.

Another cool build finished, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this Triton ends up exploring next. 🌊🏕️🚙

Some projects are about cars. Others are about the people behind them.

Over the past couple of months we’ve been lucky enough to be involved in a pretty special birthday surprise.

The project started when a pair of very proud parents purchased a Honda Civic for their daughter and wanted to make it truly her own before handing over the keys. They had a vision for the car, organised every detail behind the scenes and trusted us to help bring it all together.

New wheels were sourced, Type R-inspired parts were fitted, and then it was our turn to transform the car with a full colour paint protection film installation.

The funny part? The birthday girl actually chose the colour herself, thinking it was for another vehicle in the family. Little did she know she was picking the colour for her own car.

Before any wrapping could begin, there was a fair bit of preparation work involved. We arranged for a number of dents to be professionally removed, several components were painted including the bonnet, mirrors, spoiler, door handles and various front and rear bumper pieces, and the vehicle was thoroughly prepared for the transformation ahead.

From there, the Civic underwent a full disassembly before being wrapped in an incredible satin blue colour PPF.

This wasn’t a quick makeover. More than 100 hours went into the build, with bumpers removed, side skirts off, panels wrapped individually and countless hours spent refining the details. When you’re wrapping a white vehicle in a coloured film, achieving a seamless finish and minimising any visible white edges takes a huge amount of planning and effort.

Watching everything come together was incredibly rewarding. The satin blue works perfectly with the Type R styling, and the finished result looks like a completely different car.

A special thank you to her parents for allowing us to be part of something that meant so much to their family. The amount of thought, planning and effort that went into creating this surprise was something pretty special to witness.

Thankfully we had everything completed in time for the big day.
