Road Safety - NSW GOV β€’

that's correct All drivers are permitted to use a GPS device that isn't a mobile phone, as long as the device is mounted to the vehicle and doesn't obscure the driver's view of the road.
They can also use the vehicles built in GPS.

🎢 🎡 "Back when I was a provisional driver there was always confusion on whether I could play music, use the radio or even use maps/GPS. Can you clarify the rules around this? πŸ˜€ "

Yep, we can help with this ⬇️

Provisional drivers are allowed to use the radio, CD player, and can use a navigation device (that is not a mobile phone) for example a GPS.

The GPS device must be in a holder fixed to the vehicle and not obscure the drivers view of the road or built into the vehicle.

⚠️ Learner and provisional licence holders aren't permitted to use their mobile phone at all while driving. This applies regardless of whether the phone is being used through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

When exiting a roundabout, you must signal left, if it is practical to do so. You must stop indicating as soon as you exit the roundabout.
When you travel straight ahead on a small single lane roundabout, it may not be practical to indicate left when exiting.
However, on a larger roundabout, indicating left just before you reach your exit shows other motorists your intentions, helping to keep the flow of traffic moving efficientlyπŸš—πŸš—

πŸš— Lets kick off Road Rules Awareness Week with a roundabout question!

In NSW, should you indicate left when exiting a roundabout, even if you're travelling straight through or turning right?
