Sad news from up north this afternoon with the passing of loooooong time Studebaker giant, Harold Ireland.

A fantastic day was had at the New South Wales Club's annual concours today. The weather was perfect for making that chrome and paint pop and we attracted many passers by who all had positive things to say about our Display.
Top Car today was won by Janice and Mike Lynch with their beautiful Avanti. Congratulations!
Thank you to our friends from the NSW Club for another well run event, we all had a great weekend.

International Drive Your Studebaker Day was on Saturday - our club joined with the New South Wales and Hunter Valley Clubs for a cruise out to historical Ebenezer on the Hawkesbury River. A very impressive turn out of Studebakers rocked up to church for homemade scones with jam and cream and big pots of tea. We all sat in Australias oldest church while the pastor gave us a very thorough history lesson of the 15 families who established the area and are still a proud presence locally. We had a look through the old school house and the graveyard with active vaults of local families. We all had a great day together in the sun, driving the countryside with all our mates. Thank you to the NSW club for organising!!

Today we had a Sunday lunch run to a beautiful Cafe on the Central Coast. A bit of a moist start to the day but I don't think anyone had to put the wipers on. We all had yummo breakfast and lunch treats served by the friendly staff. Some of us went for a walk in the lush gardens while the rest of us nattered away in the stunning Cafe. It was great to see everyone and share tasty food with you all in a lovely setting.

What can be better than a Sunday Breakfast Run to beautiful Murray's Beach? Lovely food, super friendly staff and great company.

Last weekend we began the solving the issue of the club library by downsizing the collection. We deceided to make a day of it by holding a BBQ breakfast to make the decisions as to what to keep and where to dispose of the rest. Lots of memories were had looking at all old photos of past and present members and their cars. The team have done a great job and together we have whittled the library by about 2/3s so it is a much more manageable size.

In 1926, the son of the founder of the family shoe business drove 7,000km to Darwin and back. 🇦🇺 Join us 100 years later, as his descendants retrace tourism history in the original 1925 Studebakers(!) to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
