We're taking Race Day #2 AND Race Day #3 and turning them into one massive weekend of dirt bike racing.

And we're doing it all on our newly rebuilt Full Throttle Earthworks designed track. 🔥

Saturday won't finish when the racing does either.

Riders can settle in for the weekend and spectators can come out and experience two days of racing.

🏍️ Mount Isa motocross riders will have access to competition-style training at home following a major redevelopment of the city’s Dirt Bike Club track.

The upgraded track has been designed to better reflect the conditions local riders encounter when travelling across Queensland to compete, with more technical features and different configurations for riders of all abilities.

💬Mount Isa Dirt Bike Club sponsorship and PR officer Kimberly Trott said the previous track was putting local riders at a disadvantage when they competed away from home.

“It was becoming a bit of a disadvantage to our members to not have that track at home where they could really ride regularly and pick up skills to then take away to be competitive,” she said.

The club also hopes the redevelopment will help Mount Isa attract larger motocross events, with ambitions to again be part of major competition rounds held across Queensland.

🗓️The new track will be put through its paces later this month, when the club hosts a double-header race weekend on September 26 and 27.

Tomorrow is MOTOR SHOW DAY!
🔥 Bump in for ENTRANTS is from 8am to 9:30am, Gate 2, $20 for inside the shed, $15 for outside.
🔥 Stop at the gate and talk to Nadia to find out where to go when you arrive.
🔥 Please follow directions from the volunteers.
🔥 Please don’t spray tyre shine inside the shed.
🔥 Gates open to the PUBLIC from 10am to 2pm, $5 entry, kids under 12 free.
🔥 No scooters, skateboards, skates, or bikes to be ridden inside the gates.
🔥 Firefighters will be doing a display just after midday.
🔥 Demolition Derby will start at 1pm.

It was great to have at quick catch up with Graham and the boys from 4WD 24/7 while they were in Isa this week before they headed back out bush. Unfortunately they couldn’t stay for the Motor Show but they’re definitely keen to do some off-roading out here one day!
