Customer complained of an engine misfire, after some basic testing, i diagnosed the miss as a broken valve spring. After discussing the options on the best chance at a successful repair with the customer, I removed both heads and sent for inspection, cleaning, replacement of all valve springs and surface grind. Car is running much better today!

So, 2024 started much like 2023 did with the removal of a subaru engine for the replacement of the head gaskets... If I had a dollar for every one of these ive done now, I'd still have to work for the next 30 years before I can retire! But definitely done a few of these little guys now... keep em' coming!

Things I learned today... If you're going to be away from work for a period of time, maybe don't turn off your fridge before you go, oh, and also maybe put the keys to your toolbox in a safe place, somewhere you are likely to remember...

Tis' Christmas season. MJC Automotive Geelong will be taking an extended brake (pun intended) this year, wrapping (further pun intended) up on Friday 22nd Dec and reopening on Monday 22nd Jan.

We've had a run on clutches recently, A subaru diesel this time, the friction plate has disintergrated. We will be fitting a new Exeedy clutch kit to get the customer back on the road.
