The fog cleared just in time for our job early this morning! Sid, Lil & Rusty were on deck today, transporting Plumber Damien Daniel's truck over Bancroft Bay to Mosquito Point.

⚓ A Tribute to a Gippsland Lakes Legend! ⚓

Last week, our employee and mate Sid (David Bull Jnr) quietly finished up full-time employment with Gippsland Lakes Barge Services. He didn't want any fuss, but we thought this song and footage might do nicely as a sort of thank you.

Sid’s expertise driving Sampson and his knowledge of the Gippsland lakes and tides is second to none. Eagle has been very lucky to have his tutelage over the past 2 years.

He may say he’s retired now, but he’s actually going to be here for us to work on a casual basis—like when Eagle is away and we need a driver, or when he just needs a hand on a tricky job.

Sid will now have time on his hands to go away and catch up with some old mates... but we're sure we'll still see a fair bit of him! Whether he's checking up on us during his morning walk, or at the pub for a "toolbox meeting" at the end of the day.

Cheers Sid, we thank you for your knowledge, expertise, and tuition. 🌊🍻

Eagle and Kim's daughter Lil is now learning the ropes as deckhand... and of course Rusty is still along for the ride... and to say hi to Sammy the seal! 🐶🦭

So the tide has changed, but barge Sampson keeps rollin' on, steady & strong!

Nice "Work Trip" overseas this morning with Johnny from The Lakes Timber & Building Supplies and a bit of 'beeping' required in the video 😂 for Eagle's other business - Bancroft Building & Renovating who's favourite supplier is Lakes Entrance Timber & Building Supplies 🙌 He especially likes the after hours service including an overseas trip 🤣 to the Island at Metung! 🍻 No bargeing just building today!

BARGE-UP FRIDAY...ON SATURDAY! 🤭

Marine Day at Shaving Point on Friday!!! It was all happening...

💩 One of our Smooth Operators - Variety Bash Car 3858 sponsors Septic Steve Aussie Septic Solutions was loaded on board Sampson and transported to Mosquito Point for a 💩 job & came back carrying last night's meals on wheels 😆

🪵Next job was with Co- Bash Crew Lenny Marshall transporting his ute & a trailer load of Tambo Park Firewood to the island.

🏗 Back on Shaving Point it was all go with Carter Cranes and Rigging and Carter Marine unloading & loading their barge for a jetty job on the island.
