Got a low tyre pressure warning? Don’t panic, you can inflate your tyres yourself at most petrol stations. 🚗

Check the recommended pressure on the sticker inside the driver’s door, set the machine to the correct kPa or PSI, connect the hose and wait for the beep.

Get your learner permit NOW (even if you’re not planning to drive yet)

🚗Getting a Victorian driver licence is simpler than you think.
As a former VicRoads examiner, here is what I tell every new driver: there are only three tests standing between you and your licence.
The Learner Permit Test. The Hazard Perception Test. The Drive Test.

But passing the tests alone is not enough.
There is a mandatory holding period before you can sit the drive test. And the clock only starts once you have your learner permit.
Every week you delay getting your L is a week you are delaying your drive test.
So even if you are not ready to drive yet, get your learner permit now. Start the clock early, test earlier.

Here’s what actually happens in a VicRoads drive test 👇

1️⃣ Check-in
Arrive, verify your identity, and get ready to start.

2️⃣ Pre-drive check
The examiner will stand outside and ask you to demonstrate basic controls (wipers, headlights, etc.).

3️⃣ On-road test
Real driving + key tasks like reverse parallel parking.
Your safety awareness and decision-making matter most.

4️⃣ Results
You’ll get your result and brief feedback right after the test.
