This is it! the last new Sharp Racing stand for sale.
Its a RHS (right hand side) Mono Rear Stand that will suit a BMW R series that has the swingarm on the RHS (will fit a pre 2013ish GS)
Will NOT fit any other single swingarm bike (as its on the wrong side!)

pass this on to any Beemer owning mates.

Well, that was quick! A big thanks to all the Sharp Racing supporters out there who snapped up the last ever stands to roll off the production line (or out of my shed...) it's pretty much all gone now, I have two red Mono Rear Stands left plus some bits & pieces (pit boards, t-stands, swingarm pick ups) and that's it!

so much for dribbling on to the middle of the year, at this rate it will all be done and dusted by the end of the month! (now I just have to assemble and pack them all to ship out through a very unimpressed local post office!

Apologies if you missed out, but I did warn you whispering jack's last tour was NOT my inspiration, I was serious when I said when they're gone they're gone!

Thanks again for all the support and for the overwhelming response to my announcement, very much appreciated.

I will be shutting down the FB page at some stage so please keep an eye on my website for any announcements re on-going spare parts etc.

To my many loyal customers & FB followers, this post has been coming for a while now and the first days of a new year seems as good a time as any.

Sharp Racing will be closing it’s doors in 2018.

What the last year or so of attempting to relaunch Sharp Racing and trying new ways to do business in the social media age (thanks Meri & Craig!) has show me is that I have amassed an amazingly loyal group of customers over the last 25 odd years.

This is something I, and all the people who’ve been a part of Sharp Racing incl Jon, Andrew, Narelle,Jacob and Paul, am very proud.

I would like to thank each and every customer for putting your money where your mouth is when it comes to buying Australian Made, you’ve been responsible for supporting not only the people mentioned, but a whole chain of other small businesses that supplied us over the years like Alverstoke Tube Bending, Sterling Chrome Plating, Yardmark Powder Coating and many more.

But, times are changing, and it’s time for me to move on to new challenges, so.......

IF YOU NEED SOMETHING, NOWS THE TIME!

This isn’t a ‘Closing Down, Everything must go!!! ‘ Type of deal, more a heads up to those loyal customers that if you’ve been thinking of adding to your Sharp collection, now’s the time!

I’m planning my last stock order over the next couple of weeks and only have limited components left, so first in, best dressed. Some items (eg Head Stem Front stands) are down to less than ten so will be all spoken for very soon.

I guarantee this is no Johnny Farnham style retirement sale, when I’m out of bits, I’m out of business, that simple!!

And then there was one...................

With the recent announcement that Anderson Stands has stopped production Sharp Racing is truly the "last man standing' in the world of Australian made bike stands.
But surely that's a good thing right? reduced competition, larger slice of the pie etc? well no, it's not. You only have to look at how long Holden and Toyota lasted after Ford pulled the pin to see why there aren't any champagne corks popping around Sharp Racing HQ.

It's not my place to speculate in why Chris Anderson pulled the plug, I don't know. But, what I do know is he isn't the only one.

With more and more local businesses closing down it high time we, as Australian consumers, wake up and realise what we are losing.

The choice of a locally made product, designed for local conditions and backed by a local warranty is simply disappearing from many products.

And, more than that, what about the people who make these things? what happens to them? the guys who's been a welder for 30 years, proud of his skills (and rightly so) what does he do once nothing is welded here any more, go and do an IT course and compete with his kids for a job?

If we don't wake up and get out of this ' Cheap first, quality last' mentality soon there wont be a quality option left, then it will be too late.

Over the nest few weeks we are going to run a series of blogs about the people who actually MAKE the Sharp Racing stands. Real local people, from real local small businesses who all contribute their skills and years of experience to make our products the best on the market!

Congratulations to Simon Bailey, the winner of our Front Stand giveaway competition!! After shuffling around in the hat for a good 10 minutes Simon's name came out, and what a worthy winner!

Simon not only sent in a Pic of his very tasty Tuono, his young fella has shown the versatility of the Sharp Racing Rear Stand with a classic pic of his PeeWee (training wheels and all!) ! good job guys, now you just have to decide who gets it first......
