Here is the post you have all been waiting for. NU Racing would like to announce our first ever podium EVER. The team placed 3rd overall in the EV category, marking the team’s first podium in our 23 year history.
This week is a testament to 12 months of hard work, persistence & unwavering passion. This team has redefined what it means to be a part of NU Racing, whilst marking NU25 into the history books.
Competition started extremely strong, where the team was the first to pass EV scrutineering. Using this momentum, we rolled into the static events with hope and optimism. The team was later rewarded for their insane preparation with the Technical Inspection award, which we were honoured to receive.
After completing Cost, Design & Presentation, the team felt great moving into the dynamic events. This motivation was further fuelled by our Presentation score, locking in 2nd place, equaling our best finish in the event.
The team brought the vibes to Skid Pad, excited to see what the little blue car could do on the track. Both of our drivers nailed their jobs, completing the event with no mistakes. This saw us finish in 7th.
Acceleration was up next, which saw a very competitive field. After two incredible runs, our drivers managed to secure 2nd place. This is our highest placing in the event ever.
Sunday morning saw the beginning of AutoX, filling the team with excitement, nerves and hope. Hoping to do something amazing. Our first driver secured provisional P1, putting NU Racing in a promising position. This left our second driver with a job to do, which he executed perfectly. Nailing his hot lap, securing 1st place. This is not only the team’s first ever first place, but also our highest placing in AutoX history.
Endurance was filled with nerves, with the team wanting to finalise an amazing competition so far. With a consistent pace across the entire event, our two drivers licked the stamp and sent it, rewarding the team with a completed endurance, as well as 3rd in efficiency. This is our third podium in the efficiency event.
All things combined, the 2025 competition marks the most successful year in NU Racing history.✨💙r
