Just a reminder to our customers:

Duncan Brown bridge in Malanda is now closed to vehicles & pedestrians due to major works to replace the existing bridge.

- Work is expected to take at least 6 months to complete.

- You can still get to us via one of the detour routes that are in place. The primary detour route is through Forrester Road.

❗️ Work to replace Duncan Brown bridge in Malanda starts on Monday 20 June.

This is a major project to build a new two-lane bridge with pedestrian access and will take at least six months to complete.

The bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians throughout.

🙏 We know this improvement work will have a big impact on some residents and we've been working with schools and community groups for several months.

🚧 Multiple detour routes will be in place during construction. The primary detour route is via Forrester Road, which has had line marking and sign upgrades to accommodate the increased traffic flow.

This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government through the Bridge Renewal Program, and TRC.
