Behind every breakthrough project is the work you don’t always see.

At Edencraft Creative, we specialise in advanced composites and manufacturing - the same expertise that goes into every Edencraft hull. That’s why Deakin University’s Solar Car Team came to us when building their latest challenge car, DUST1.

Our team helped engineer and manufacture key composite components, giving the students the platform they needed to compete in the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge - a 3,000 km endurance race across the outback.

Proud to play our part in a project that tested innovation, teamwork, and resilience at the highest level. Here’s to seeing DUST go even further in 2027.

We’re thrilled to share our latest project with Damic Design, St George Sailing Club, and Belmont 16s Sailing Club! 🛥️ We’ve been putting in the work on a high-temperature plug for a 16ft sailing skiff.

The plug is constructed from Polyurethane Foam from Block Moulding, laminated with high-temp epoxy resin, and coated in ATLs tooling paste. It’s then finished with a vinylester Duratec coating and detailed to a flawless A1 surface. To ensure absolute precision, the plug was 3D scanned to maintain a strict tolerance.

This high-performance plug is built to withstand the heat of carbon moulding, delivering both precision and durability. We can't wait to see this skiff hit the water soon! ATL Composites

Here’s a sneak peek at the 655 CC hull mould in action! 🚤

In this video, you’ll see the hull receiving its second layer of vinylester resin, a crucial step in strengthening the structure. Once that’s done, we’ll apply the LP Tooling stacks and get one step closer to releasing it from the plug. Stay tuned as we continue making progress on this exciting project!

Sneak peek: The final Scott Bader topcoat is applied to our 655 Centre Console hull plug, preparing the surface for the final wet rub. This step readies the plug for sealing and waxing, the last processes before mould manufacturing progresses.
