40 year Milestone in 2026/27 season

WESTY BACK FOR ANOTHER VMPA CAMPAIGN!

Graham “Westy” West is ready to hit the clay once again for another All States Rigging VMPA Modified Sedan campaign behind the wheel of the iconic BGO56 Red Torana, this season being Westys 40th season and 20 years in the same car!This truly is the last of the fast Toranas!

With a fresh engine onboard and some suspension improvements made over the off-season, Westy will be looking to put those changes to the test as he prepares for another big season of Modified Sedan racing.

The experience is there, the passion is there, and the unmistakable red Torana is ready to go racing!

Can Westy and the BGO56 crew make their mark on another All States Rigging VMPA campaign? One thing is for sure – when that red Torana hits the clay, you know it’s going to be a show!

Westy would like to thank all his supporters and sponsors on the car for this season, lets make it a memorable 40th celebration 🏁🏁

THE JP ASPHALTING ESSS ROLLS INTO TOWN.

The wait is nearly over, with Wangaratta City Raceway set to fire into action this weekend for Round 1 of the JP Asphalting Extreme Sports Sedan Series!

A bumper field of Sports Sedans has nominated, with some of the best in the business ready to kick off the new season in style!

Leading the charge will be current Victorian Champion Brendan Miller, fresh off his American adventure touring the tracks of Texas, USA. Damian Miller, the reigning ESSS Champion will be keen to hit the ground running and lay down an early marker against a quality field.

Last season’s stars will also be back in the thick of the action, with the Berger father and son duo, Donnaz, Ian Thomsen, the Young Gun Will Fallon and Wangaratta club member Shane Roycroft all ready to make their presence felt, alongside a host of other talented Sports Sedan racers.

With fresh paint schemes, new stickers and plenty of horsepower ready to be unleashed, there’s no better way to launch a new season than with a huge field of Sports Sedans battling it out on the high-speed Wangaratta clay!

Who will come out swinging in Round 1? Who has found extra speed over the off-season? And who will be the first to lay down a serious challenge for the 2026/27 campaign?

Joining the ESSS this weekend will be the JSPA Junior Series, where a new season brings plenty of changes, fresh faces and exciting opportunities!

New Stars will graduate to Top Stars, new champions will be discovered, and the next generation of Speedway talent will be ready to make their mark.

Local Wangaratta Junior racer Ollie Roycroft will be looking to stamp his authority early and continue his winning ways, but he’ll have plenty of young guns eager to challenge him!

New Stars, new faces and a new season — you can bet the JSPA will put on a show!

So, who’s ready for the opening round? Who has found extra speed over the off-season? And who will emerge as the early frontrunners in both the ESSS and JSPA Junior Series?

The MCS Team will be there to call all the action live!

Bring the family, gather your mates and come and enjoy a night of Speedway action, with hard-charging Sports Sedans, exciting Junior racing and plenty happening on the track.
