Commercial Vessel Free Spirit is back in the yard once again, this time for a major refit.

The scope of works includes complete rebuilds of both main engines, some much-needed modifications to the aft deck, and the removal and replacement of sections of the hull plating to ensure she is ready for many more years of reliable service.

Both main engines were completely rebuilt by George of Neptune Marine Solutions, ensuring Free Spirit returns to the water with dependable performance and reliability.

Another one of Nautilus Aviation’s helicopter pontoons has successfully completed its 10-year survey for compliance sign-off.

Following extensive works to the timber top deck and the re-fabrication of the loading platform. The project was completed with a fresh paint system applied to both the top decking and the hulls, leaving her looking as good as new.

She is now ready to return to the Great Barrier Reef, continuing to support tourism operations across Tropical North Queensland and helping showcase one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders.
