Attention Mariners: Cyclone Advice.
Watch zone: Sandy Cape (QLD) to Grafton (NSW) including Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Key information:
• Severe weather risk: Tropical Cyclone Alfred (Category 2) is tracking southeast into the southern Coral Sea, with an increasing risk of landfall later this week.
• Expected impacts: Damaging winds, heavy rain, hazardous swells, and potential flooding across southeast Queensland and northern NSW.
• Maritime disruptions: Changes to port operations and safety warnings for boaters and mariners. Stay informed.
