At Nate’s Window Tinting, we believe in supporting our local community wherever we can, and there’s a young boy named Abel who we would love to help.
Abel is just 6 years old and lives with autism and ADHD. He is also selectively verbal, which can make communicating his needs extremely difficult. He experiences the world differently, and social situations can sometimes become overwhelming for him.
One of the biggest concerns for Abel’s family is his limited awareness of danger and high risk of absconding. This means that even everyday outings can be incredibly stressful and frightening for his family.
Abel has been given the opportunity to be matched with a therapy dog who will eventually become his assistance/service dog — a constant companion who can help him regulate, feel safer, develop independence and navigate a world that can sometimes become overwhelming.
The family is currently raising $1,500 to help secure Abel’s match and cover the ongoing costs involved.
This isn’t simply about getting Abel a dog.
It’s about helping give a little boy greater safety, confidence and independence, while providing him with a loyal companion who can be there for him without judgement.
Nate’s Window Tinting would love to help Abel get one step closer to meeting his new best mate.
