This VF SSV wagon came in for a proper upgrade — and left as a seriously tough street package.

🔧 JMR cam package featuring a BTR PDS Stage 4 Camshaft V2
💨 Walkinshaw 2300 supercharger, KPM fuel system, DPE ceramic coated headers, high-flow cats and 3” exhaust
⚙️ 6L90 transmission with TCE 6-bolt converter, PWR cooler, 9.9” diff and LSA tailshaft

🎛️ Results:
435.7kW / 769Nm at the tyres (our rollers)
478kW at the hubs on a hub dyno (typically reads ~10% higher)

🚨 Mick’s VF SS ute came in for a serious wake-up call!

We ditched the factory DOD setup and installed a VCM Performance VCM11 camshaft, paired with GM Motorsport 1 3/4" headers and VCM OTR with infill panels for improved flow and engine bay presentation. The L77 also scored a VCM billet valley cover to complete the conversion properly.

Tuned on 98, it laid down 319kW and 521Nm, a solid increase from the baseline of 243kW. A proper result for a clean, reliable street combo with that unmistakable cam sound.

🔥 Josh's VX Commodore back on the rollers! 🔥

We fitted a VCM122 camshaft along with a CHE trunnion upgrade to improve valvetrain strength and reliability. The combo, paired with a Proflow Hi-Rise intake and 1 7/8” headers, helped the 5.7L LS1 put down 282kW and 544Nm at the treads on 98 octane.

That's a gain of over 70kW from the baseline — a great result for a cam-only setup. With a good set of heads and a bump in compression, we know there’s even more in it!

Max's ute was in for a tune, hard to start and erratic idle. Removing the intake revealed that a throttle body adaptor had been installed backwards, blocking off the idle air control valve circuit. It was also adding a restriction as it was smaller than the intake manifold! To get the engine to sort of idle, somebody had drilled a hole in the throttle blade. We removed it all, bored the adaptor to the correct size, filled the hole in the throttle blade and installed it in the correct orientation! Completely retuned the ECU as there wasn't much that was correct in there either. Cold starts are no longer an issue!

Cameron's VS Statesman got some Pacemaker extractors, 3" DPE exhaust and hi flow cat, as well as a cold air intake and memcal from Mace Engineering. Healthy gains to power and torque, but more importantly it sounds amazing!!!

Chris's ute came in for a camshaft upgrade. A VCM532 was chosen along with PSI single valve springs, chromoly pushrods, roll master timing chain set etc etc. Oil pumps are always disassembled, cleaned, inspected and shimmed for correct clearance, regardless of if they are new or exisiting. With a full Walkinshaw exhaust and OTR, the result was extremely good! The ute drives like stock, has a slightly lumpy idle and significantly more power and torque throughout the entire rev range.

Steve's Calais came to us completely stock. We fitted one of our cam packages, as well as replacing the worn camshaft bearings and adding a new Mellings oil pump. We also added 1 3/4" stepped headers from GM Motorsport, high flow cats, twin 3" X-Force exhaust and a VCM OTR. Overall an excellent result, the car drives really nice, even on the stock converter, and sounds amazing!

Quick job from last week. Started off as just a wheel bearing replacement. Bearing had seized and badly damaged the hub. A replacement hub was $367 and not available until the next day. Luckily we have our own machine shop and 30 minutes later a sleeve was shrunk fit and machined to size, saving the customer a significant amount and getting the vehicle back on the road that day.

Finishing up a budget standalone LS harness and thought I would show how we extend the O2 sensor wiring when using aftermarket headers. This was a modified original harness to keep costs low. Harness was completely stripped and checked, damaged sections repaired, new connectors added where needed and Tessa tape wrapped. We have multiple different options for standalone harnesses, from modified original to full motorsport spec using Tefzel wire, DR-25 sheathing and Autosport connectors!
