Chris Mignone from Sprite Club South Australia is currently seeking expressions of interest for a possible bulk order of the Barratt Engineering Sprite / Midget 5-speed gearbox conversion kits from the UK.

Following a successful group order last year, another order is being considered to help reduce freight and overall costs for participants.

These kits suit 948cc, 1098cc and 1275cc Sprite and Midget models and require no body modifications — only a small access hole for the gearbox fill plug.

The conversion uses a Suzuki Jimny 5-speed gearbox and includes:
✔ Aluminium back plate
✔ Billet flywheel
✔ Clutch kit
✔ Starter motor
✔ Gear linkage
✔ Prop shaft
✔ Mounting hardware and more

Bulk pricing available:

5+ kits: 15% discount
10+ kits: 20% discount

Optional rebuilt gearboxes and electronic speedometer kits are also available.

Current interest already stands at 5 people.

Expressions of interest close on 18 June 2026.
