📣 From this Sunday 1 December, red P platers in WA will only be allowed to drive with one passenger in the car at all times.

Drivers will face a $200 fine and 2 demerit points if they have more than one passenger without an exemption.

Exemptions include if additional passenger/s who:
🔴 Have held a full C-class licence for at least 4 years
🔴 Are immediate family
🔴 Are necessary for employment purposes. This requires a letter from the employer which must be presented if requested.

Don't forget: Red plate. One mate.

DOUBLE demerit points kick in from midnight tonight for the Easter long weekend.
Motorists are reminded to take care and allow for extra travel time as they head off for the Easter long weekend.

From midnight tonight, March 27, until midnight Monday, April 1 - five days - police will be enforcing double demerit points

Double demerits apply for drink or drug driving, speeding, failing to wear a seat belt or child restraint, and carrying passengers in the open load space of a vehicle.
