The trip that sparked the idea.
Planning it was fun - ‘Bec and Joe’s Adventure’ (BAJA) is what we called our shared note for ideas.
The trip was waaay better, the BEST in fact!
3 week van conversion.
14 weeks travelling from Vancouver to the bottom of Baja Mexico and back.
Mountain bikes. Snowboards.
Sooooo many good times and memories!

Where it all began with the Van obsession,
Started this build during my fitter and machinist apprenticeship,
This Van helped through some tough times,
It was started with a friend and fellow apprentice back in 2001,
we had ambitions to start our own customs workshop he named it custom industry’s,

Unfortunately he passed away in a motorcycle accident before we finished.

What was it? 1989 Toyota hiace
Motor 3rz turbo, 200hp at the wheels
Airbags to lift 8 inches
Pneumatic operated gull wing door.

And a million more crazy little things

And somewhere 8-10,000hrs 😳

Our new and improved v3 MWB slimline sleeping pods

65- 75mm deep each and together across giving roughly 2030mm across for the perfect mix of east west bed space and flow and style on the outside of the van.
