A walk through of several
Custom parts I am nearing completion on: a centre console for a 1970 Type 3 VW plus fender flares and a step enclosure for a 4x4 Isuzu truck.

I also show you how I have created custom dovetails for the fender flares and point out a modification I have made to my CC1 printer - an enclosure heater.

I hope you enjoy some insights to what I am working on and a few details on my approach.

Isuzu truck - Fender Flare - Update

In this video I briefly demonstrate the progress on the Isuzu Fender Flare I have designed for my client. This is within Fusion - next step if the final print in ASA-CF.

The truck Scan was completed with my EINSTAR Rockit, and I am printing the part on my Qidi max 4.

I will take a video of the final installation as soon as it is completed.

Precision Scanning for Custom Isuzu Bonnet Mods Series - Part 2

In this second video of my Isuzu 4x4 custom build series, I walk through my full workflow for scanning the bonnet and the behind‑bonnet geometry to prepare for a precision‑fit custom part. This stage is critical because the new component will be plastic instead of metal, which means the tolerances need to be tighter and the fitment needs to be absolutely clean.

Using the EINSTAR Rockit, I captured the bonnet surface, the internal structure, and the surrounding geometry to ensure the final design sits perfectly on the truck without gaps, stress points, or alignment issues.

I did the recreation work and test prints for a client who needs a Chrysler badge recreated. This is a very rare part. He sent the part off the be printed in stainless steel - the top is polished and the underside is raw. It has come out amazingly well.

I have included the photos of the test print I did in plastic. Also to original pitted chrome and black badge is in there too.

I will be working on a range of hard to get parts - and helping create more items for my client. I’ll post the details, and if anyone else is interested order a batch of metal printed items.

Scanning an Isuzu Truck for Custom 4x4 Mods | 3D Scan, Fender Flare Draft & ASA Printing

I’m kicking off a full custom 3D‑modelling project on this Isuzu truck—starting with a complete 3D scan using the EINSTAR Rockit to capture every contour before designing a new off‑road fender flare and step enclosure.

This episode covers the full scanning workflow and the first‑draft 3D model of the fender flare. The prototype will be printed on my QIDI Max 4 in ASA or ASA‑CF for strength, heat resistance, and durability.

Next up: modelling the step enclosure and refining the flare for fitment.

And for the big reveal—I've also been contracted to design a brand‑new custom bonnet with aggressive styling and integrated logo features. Huge project ahead, so stay tuned.

In this video I show the final ASA-CF HQ dash insert designed to hold a Haltech IC7 screen. This was designed for a client, and includes a logo, and specific cut outs to suit their needs. I can do versions for anyone else who is after something similar - just drop me a line.

The scan was done with my EINSTAR Rockit - it produced an amazing result!
