The Fat Bastards Riders Club is a motorcycle rider’s group based in Canberra, Australia and the surrounding area. When we started out in April 2002, we were a group of only five riders out on a brilliant Sunday morning ride. We have had a few different names over the years. We started out as the Fat Bastards Motorcycle Club and then became the Fat Bastards Tourers. Mid-way through 2009, the name w
as changed to the Southern Riders, but upon further reflection, the name has been changed back to Fat Bastards in the form of the Fat Bastards Riders Club. In all honesty, I believe that the name Fat Bastards is one that best sums up our group – a group of fun people and a helluva lot of tongue-in-cheek to boot. The Fat Bastards is an apolitical, not-for-profit group. There are no membership dues, and we don’t plan on ever charging any. Membership is open to both male and female riders and partners. We allow all riders and do not discriminate on what type of bike you own, how old you are or how big (or small) your waistline is.
